Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the Vietnam National Champion League season, dismantling Truong Tuoi Dong Nai 4-0 away from home on 24 October 2026. The visitors were ruthless in front of goal, converting their dominance into a convincing scoreline that will be remembered as a statement result.

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, Nam Dinh looked sharper, quicker to the ball and more decisive in the final third. Truong Tuoi Dong Nai struggled to cope with the visitors' movement and intensity, and by the time the first goal arrived the pattern of the match was already clear.

The 19:00 kickoff produced a one-sided contest in which Nam Dinh controlled possession, pressed effectively and punished every defensive error. Dong Nai, by contrast, never found a foothold, and the second half brought no relief as the visitors added further goals.

Key Moments

• First-half breakthrough: Nam Dinh's early dominance was rewarded with the opening goal, settling any nerves.
• Quickfire second: A second goal before the interval effectively ended the contest as a competitive fixture.
• Second-half control: The visitors managed the game expertly, denying Dong Nai any meaningful possession in dangerous areas.
• Late goals: Two further strikes completed the rout and underlined the gulf in quality on the night.

Tactical Story

Nam Dinh's success was built on a high-pressing structure that forced Truong Tuoi Dong Nai into mistakes deep in their own half. The front players pressed in coordinated bursts, cutting off passing lanes and winning second balls consistently. Once in possession, Nam Dinh moved the ball quickly through midfield, creating angles that the home defence simply could not close down.

Dong Nai's attempts to play out from the back repeatedly broke down, and their midfield was overrun in the central areas. The home side's best moments came from set pieces, but the game was long gone by then. Nam Dinh's game management in the second half was particularly impressive, controlling tempo while still creating chances.

Standout Performers

Nam Dinh's attacking unit was relentless, with the forward line combining intelligently and finishing with real conviction. The midfield engine room deserves equal credit, dictating play and winning the physical battles that allowed the visitors to sustain pressure.

For Truong Tuoi Dong Nai, the evening offered few positives, though their goalkeeper made several saves that prevented an even heavier defeat. The result highlights the work required if they are to compete consistently at this level of the Vietnam National Champion League.

Season Impact

A 4-0 away win of this nature sends a clear message to the rest of the division. Nam Dinh's goal difference receives a significant boost, and the confidence gained from such a comprehensive performance could prove invaluable as the season progresses.

For Dong Nai, the defeat is a setback that demands a response in the next round. Defensive organisation and composure in possession will be top of the agenda as they look to stabilise their campaign.
