Zamora FC Barinas B 1-4 Yaracuyanos: Visitors Run Riot in Second-Half Blitz

Yaracuyanos produced a dominant away performance to thrash Zamora FC Barinas B 4-1 in the Venezuela Segunda Division on Sunday, scoring three unanswered goals after the break to turn a competitive match into a rout. The visitors were ruthless in front of goal, punishing a young Zamora B side that struggled to cope with the intensity of their opponents in the second half.

The result sends a strong statement from Yaracuyanos, who have now shown they can score freely on their travels. For Zamora FC Barinas B, it was a harsh lesson in the demands of senior football, though the reserve side will take some encouragement from a bright opening period.

Match Overview

The first half was evenly contested, with Zamora FC Barinas B matching their more experienced opponents for long spells. The young home side pressed aggressively and created two half-chances early on, but they were unable to find the breakthrough. Yaracuyanos took the lead in the 27th minute with a well-worked move down the left, finished at the near post.

Zamora responded positively and equalised just before half-time, sending the teams into the break level at 1-1. However, the second half was a completely different story. Yaracuyanos came out with far greater urgency, scoring twice in the opening 15 minutes of the second period to take control of the match. A fourth goal late on capped a comprehensive victory.

Key Moments

• First half, 27th minute: Yaracuyanos take the lead with a fluent move down the left, converted at the near post.
• First half, 44th minute: Zamora FC Barinas B equalise with a composed finish after a quick break.
• Second half, 52nd minute: Yaracuyanos restore their lead, pouncing on a loose ball in the box.
• Second half, 60th minute: A stunning free-kick doubles the advantage for Yaracuyanos.
• Second half, 83rd minute: Yaracuyanos add a fourth, finishing off a flowing team move involving five players.

Tactical Story

Yaracuyanos lined up in a flexible 4-2-3-1 that allowed them to dominate midfield once they found their rhythm. In the first half, Zamora's youthful energy and high press caused problems, forcing the visitors into several misplaced passes. But after the interval, Yaracuyanos' experience shone through. They began to bypass the press with longer passes into the channels, turning the game into a battle of pace against a tiring defence.

Zamora FC Barinas B's shape became increasingly stretched as they chased the game, and that left them exposed to Yaracuyanos' swift counter-attacks. The fourth goal was a perfect example: a turnover in midfield followed by a sequence of quick passes that sliced open the home defence. Zamora's coach will be displeased with his team's game management in the second half, but the experience will be valuable for the young players involved.

Standout Players

Yaracuyanos' attacking midfielder was the architect of the victory, scoring the free-kick and providing two assists. His vision and set-piece delivery were too much for Zamora to handle. The striker who opened the scoring also had an excellent game, holding the ball up well and bringing others into play. For Zamora FC Barinas B, the goalscorer showed real promise with a mature finish, and the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat.

Season Impact

The emphatic win boosts Yaracuyanos' goal difference and confidence as they continue their campaign in the Venezuela Segunda Division. With attacking performances like this, they will be viewed as a serious threat by the rest of the division. Zamora FC Barinas B, meanwhile, remain a development-focused side, and results like this are part of the learning curve for their young squad. The B team will need to show resilience in their next fixture to avoid a slump, but the first-half display offered enough evidence that they can compete for periods against experienced opposition.
