Atletico El Vigia and Zamora Barinas Share Goalless Draw in Venezuela Cup

The Venezuela Cup served up another 0-0 draw as Atletico El Vigia and Zamora Barinas failed to find the net on July 13, 2026. Neither side was willing to take unnecessary risks, resulting in a tactical battle that produced few clear openings. The tie remains on a knife-edge as both teams look ahead to the decisive second leg.

Atletico El Vigia, backed by a vocal contingent of traveling fans, controlled possession in the first half but lacked penetration against a well-organized Zamora Barinas defense. The visitors’ back line, marshaled by an experienced center-half, repelled crosses and snuffed out any danger from set pieces.

Zamora Barinas grew into the game after the break and registered the best chance of the match when their striker struck the post from 12 yards out. The rebound was scrambled away, and the score remained level. Late substitutions by both managers failed to inject the necessary quality in the final third.

With no away goal advantage for either side, the second leg is set to be a tense affair. Atletico El Vigia will be confident of progressing if they can replicate this defensive solidity while adding more creativity up front.
