Aragua FC and Caracas FC Battle to Goalless Draw in Venezuela Cup

In one of the most anticipated first-round ties of the Venezuela Cup, Aragua FC and Caracas FC played out a competitive 0-0 draw on July 13, 2026. Both teams entered the contest with strong cup pedigrees, and the match lived up to its billing as a closely fought affair. The clean sheets leave the tie delicately poised.

Caracas FC, one of Venezuela’s most successful clubs, started with typical confidence, moving the ball patiently and probing for gaps. Aragua FC’s defense, however, stood firm. The home side relied on quick transitions and threatened on the break, with their winger forcing a sharp save from Caracas’ goalkeeper midway through the first half.

The second half saw increased intensity. Caracas FC pushed forward in search of an away goal, and Aragua FC had to dig deep to maintain their clean sheet. A goalmouth scramble in the 78th minute saw the ball cleared off the line, much to the relief of the Aragua supporters. The match ended with both sides having recorded three shots on target apiece.

Key takeaways:

• Aragua FC have now gone five matches without conceding at home in cup competitions.
• Caracas FC will be pleased with their defensive discipline but will want to convert chances in the second leg.
• The return fixture promises to be a cracker, with Caracas FC likely to be more adventurous in front of their own fans.
