Nasaf Qarshi delivered a ruthless away performance in the Uzbekistan Super League on September 20, 2026, defeating FK Andijon 4-1 at the Sohibkhoron Stadium. The visitors recovered from an early setback to score four unanswered goals, underlining their title credentials and leaving Andijon rooted in a relegation battle.

Match Overview

The game burst into life inside the opening 15 minutes when Andijon stunned their more illustrious opponents. A quick counter-attack down the right flank ended with a low cross that was turned in from close range, sending the home crowd into raptures. However, the lead lasted only ten minutes. Nasaf responded with sustained pressure, equalising through a well-worked move that sliced open the Andijon defence. From that moment, the visitors controlled proceedings.

Nasaf added a second before half-time, capitalising on a defensive error to slot the ball past the helpless goalkeeper. The second half was one-way traffic. Two further goals—one a curling effort from the edge of the box and another a composed finish after a rapid break—completed the rout. Andijon's only real chance after the break came from a free-kick that clipped the crossbar, but by then the points were already secure for Nasaf.

Tactical Breakdown

Nasaf Qarshi lined up in a fluid 4-2-3-1 that transitioned into a 4-3-3 when attacking. Their high press forced Andijon into numerous turnovers in midfield, and the quick vertical passes repeatedly caught the home side's back four out of position. Andijon, by contrast, defended too deep after taking the lead, inviting pressure and failing to hold possession. Their midfield struggled to track runners, and the full-backs were constantly exposed by Nasaf's overlapping wingers.

• Nasaf's press: Won the ball back in dangerous areas, leading directly to two goals.
• Andijon's shape: Dropped into a low block too early, conceding territory and momentum.
• Set-piece threat: Nasaf's third goal came from a short corner routine that caught Andijon napping.

Standout Players

Nasaf's attacking midfielder was the architect, providing two assists and constant creativity between the lines. The centre-forward, who scored twice, was a constant menace with his movement and finishing. In defence, Nasaf's captain marshalled the back line expertly after the early goal, ensuring no further chances were conceded. For Andijon, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, while their lone striker worked tirelessly but received little support.

League Table Impact

With this victory, Nasaf Qarshi moves level on points with the league leaders, strengthening their push for a top-two finish and AFC Champions League qualification. FK Andijon remains in the bottom three, now without a win in their last four matches. The defeat leaves them facing a critical run of fixtures in the coming weeks as they fight to avoid relegation to the second tier.
