Shurtan Guzor claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Aral Nukus in the Uzbekistan Pro League on 27 October 2026, with a single first-half goal proving enough to settle a tightly contested match. The home side used its advantage well, controlling the key moments without ever turning the game into a comfortable procession.

Match overview

Shurtan Guzor set the tone early with a compact shape and quick transitions through midfield. Aral Nukus looked organised without the ball and tried to slow the tempo, but the home side found the decisive breakthrough midway through the first half when Jasurbek Kholmatov finished a flowing move from the right channel. The goal gave Guzor a deserved edge and forced Nukus to step higher after the interval.

Key moments

• 32nd minute: Shurtan Guzor broke the deadlock through Jasurbek Kholmatov after a sharp passing sequence.
• 41st minute: Aral Nukus produced its best chance of the first half from a set piece, but the header drifted wide.
• 67th minute: Guzor goalkeeper Bekzod Tursunov made a strong save to preserve the lead.
• 84th minute: Nukus pushed numbers forward, but Guzor's defence held firm under late pressure.

Tactical story

Guzor lined up with a disciplined 4-2-3-1 and looked to win the ball back quickly in midfield. That approach worked well against an Aral Nukus side that preferred patient build-up but struggled to find space between the lines. Nukus improved after the break by sending more players into wide areas, yet the final ball lacked precision. Guzor dropped deeper in the closing stages and defended its penalty area with composure.

Standout performers

Kholmatov's goal was the obvious difference, but Guzor's midfield pair deserved credit for limiting Nukus's rhythm. Tursunov's second-half save was another decisive contribution. For Aral Nukus, the central defenders battled hard and the goalkeeper kept the scoreline close, while the attackers showed flashes of threat without finding a finishing touch.

League impact

The three points give Shurtan Guzor a valuable boost in the Uzbekistan Pro League and reinforce their home form. Aral Nukus leave with a narrow defeat but can take encouragement from a competitive away display. Guzor's ability to protect a one-goal lead could prove important as the season moves deeper into its decisive phase.
