Pakhtakor II 0-3 Bukhara State University: Ruthless Away Performance Delivers Statement Win

Bukhara State University produced one of the standout away performances of the Uzbekistan Pro League round with a 3-0 victory over Pakhtakor II on 26 October 2026. A fast start, clinical finishing and a well-organised defensive display gave the visitors full control, leaving Pakhtakor II with plenty to ponder after a difficult evening.

Match Overview

Pakhtakor II began with the greater share of possession, as expected from a reserve side built around technically gifted young players. But Bukhara State University were compact, patient and dangerous on the break. They denied Pakhtakor space in central areas and looked to attack quickly whenever they won the ball back.

The away side took the lead in the 14th minute when Sardor Rakhimov found space at the edge of the box and guided a composed finish into the bottom corner. The early goal changed the tempo of the match. Pakhtakor II pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but their final pass repeatedly broke down against a disciplined Bukhara back line.

Key Moments

Bukhara doubled their advantage in the 52nd minute through Javohir Tursunov, who capitalised on a quick transition and finished calmly after being played through on goal. The second goal forced Pakhtakor II to commit more players forward, and that openness played directly into the visitors’ hands.

The result was put beyond doubt in the 77th minute when Rakhimov converted from the penalty spot after a foul inside the area. Pakhtakor II’s goalkeeper made several saves to keep the scoreline from growing further, but the home side never found the response needed to mount a comeback.

Tactical Story

Bukhara State University’s game plan was executed almost perfectly. They defended in a narrow block, forced Pakhtakor II wide and then used quick vertical passes to release their forwards. Their midfield balanced discipline with ambition, stepping forward at the right moments without abandoning the protection in front of the defence.

Pakhtakor II controlled stretches of possession but lacked penetration. Their wingers were often forced backwards, and crosses into the box were comfortably dealt with by Bukhara’s centre-backs. When the home side did create half-chances, the finishing was hurried.

Standout Players

Rakhimov was the clear attacking focal point for Bukhara State University, scoring twice and constantly troubling Pakhtakor’s defenders with his movement. Tursunov’s goal and all-round link play were equally important, while the visitors’ goalkeeper delivered a confident performance when called upon.

For Pakhtakor II, the midfield showed flashes of quality in possession, but the team lacked the composure needed in the final third. The young side will need to learn quickly from a match in which they were punished for their mistakes.

Season Impact

The 3-0 win is a significant result for Bukhara State University in the Uzbekistan Pro League, boosting their confidence and goal difference in equal measure. For Pakhtakor II, the defeat is a reminder of the demands of senior competition and the importance of converting possession into clear chances. Both sides will take lessons into their next fixtures, but it is Bukhara who will travel home with the greater sense of progress.
