Olympic MobiUz delivered a statement attacking performance in the Uzbekistan Pro League on 20 October 2026, defeating Yaypan FK 4-2 in a lively six-goal contest. The hosts combined early pressure with clinical finishing, while Yaypan FK twice fought back to level before Olympic MobiUz pulled away in the second half to claim all three points.

Match overview

Olympic MobiUz set the tone from the opening whistle, pressing high and forcing Yaypan FK into hurried clearances. The breakthrough arrived in the 11th minute when Sardor Rakhmatov collected the ball on the edge of the box, shifted onto his stronger foot and curled a low effort beyond the goalkeeper.

Yaypan FK responded well rather than folding. In the 24th minute, Azizbek Tursunov timed his run into the penalty area perfectly and finished from close range after a quick transition down the right. Olympic MobiUz regained control before half-time, though, with Javokhir Sultonov restoring the lead in the 41st minute after a neat exchange on the left flank.

The second half brought more drama. Yaypan FK equalised again in the 58th minute through Bekzod Karimov, whose shot from the edge of the area took a slight deflection on its way past the goalkeeper. That moment threatened to turn the match into a tense, end-to-end affair, but Olympic MobiUz found another gear.

• 11th minute: Sardor Rakhmatov opens the scoring with a composed finish for Olympic MobiUz.

• 41st minute: Javokhir Sultonov restores the home side's advantage before half-time.

Tactical story

Olympic MobiUz lined up with an aggressive 4-2-3-1 shape that became more of a 4-3-3 in possession. Their full-backs pushed high, creating overloads against Yaypan FK's wide defenders, and the midfield trio repeatedly won second balls in the opposition half. The hosts' willingness to shoot from distance also paid off, especially for the opening goal and the late fourth.

Yaypan FK were dangerous in transition and caused problems whenever they broke quickly through the channels. Their compact mid-block frustrated Olympic MobiUz for spells, but the visitors struggled to defend crosses and second-phase attacks. Once Olympic MobiUz moved the ball faster in the final 20 minutes, Yaypan FK's defensive line was stretched and could not recover its shape in time.

Standout performers

Sardor Rakhmatov was central to Olympic MobiUz's best attacking moves, combining intelligent movement with a calm finish for the opener. Javokhir Sultonov dictated the tempo from midfield and arrived in the box at the right moment for the second goal. Rustam Qodirov produced the match-winning contribution, while Diyor Mirzaev made an immediate impact from the bench with the fourth goal.

For Yaypan FK, Bekzod Karimov was the standout attacking threat and took his goal well. Goalkeeper Islom Norqulov made several important saves to keep the scoreline respectable, but he was left exposed by his defence in the closing stages.

What the result means

The three points give Olympic MobiUz renewed momentum in the Uzbekistan Pro League standings and underline their ability to score goals in bursts at home. The result also highlights the value of their squad depth, with a substitute delivering the final blow late in the match.

For Yaypan FK, the defeat leaves clear defensive work to do. Twice drawing level away from home was a positive sign, but conceding four goals will concern the coaching staff. Both teams will now turn their attention to their next league fixtures, with Olympic MobiUz looking to build on a convincing attacking display and Yaypan FK aiming to tighten up at the back.
