Gulistan 7-2 Jizzax FA: Hosts Produce Ruthless UZB D1B Goal Fest

Gulistan delivered one of the most emphatic performances of the UZB D1B season on October 13, 2026, dismantling Jizzax FA 7-2 at the Markaziy Stadion. The home side scored early, pressed relentlessly, and never allowed Jizzax FA to turn a difficult away evening into a genuine contest. By the final whistle, the scoreline told the story of a complete attacking display and a major boost to Gulistan’s league ambitions.

Coming into the match, Gulistan were looking to strengthen their position in the UZB D1B standings and keep pressure on the teams above them. Jizzax FA arrived with hopes of frustrating the hosts and taking something from a difficult road trip, but those plans were undone inside the opening quarter of an hour. Gulistan’s movement, sharp passing, and clinical finishing turned the fixture into a statement win.

First Half: Early Goals Break Jizzax Resistance

Gulistan started with clear intent and needed only six minutes to open the scoring. Azizbek Tursunov latched onto a clever through ball, held off his marker, and finished calmly past the goalkeeper to make it 1-0. The home crowd barely had time to settle before the lead was doubled. In the 14th minute, Sardor Qodirov arrived late in the box and swept a low cross into the net for 2-0.

Jizzax FA briefly found a foothold when Jasur Kholmatov pulled one back in the 23rd minute, finishing well after a rare breakdown in the Gulistan defence. But any hope of a comeback was short-lived. Tursunov restored the two-goal cushion in the 31st minute with a composed finish, and Bekzod Ergashev added a fourth from the penalty spot in the 43rd minute after a foul inside the area. Gulistan went into half-time with a commanding 4-1 lead.

Second Half: Hosts Keep Their Foot on the Gas

There was no let-up after the break. Gulistan continued to press high and force Jizzax FA into hurried clearances. Tursunov completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute, converting from close range after another flowing attacking move. Jizzax FA did manage a second goal through Otabek Norqulov in the 61st minute, but it was little more than a consolation on a night when the home side were in total control.

Gulistan responded immediately by restoring their four-goal advantage. Javohir Sultonov made it 6-2 in the 68th minute with a well-placed shot from the edge of the box, and substitute Islom To’rayev completed the scoring in the 84th minute, turning in a rebound after the Jizzax goalkeeper had made the initial save. The 7-2 scoreline was the largest winning margin of Gulistan’s season so far.

Tactical Story

Gulistan lined up in a fluid 4-2-3-1 and were aggressive from the first whistle. Their midfield duo controlled the centre of the pitch, winning second balls and allowing the attacking players to rotate freely between the lines. Jizzax FA set up in a 4-4-2, hoping to stay compact and hit on the counter, but they struggled to cope with Gulistan’s pressing and were repeatedly pulled out of shape.

The statistics underlined the home side’s dominance. Gulistan enjoyed around 58% possession, registered 19 shots to Jizzax FA’s 7, and put 11 attempts on target compared to just 3 for the visitors. They also won 8 corners to Jizzax FA’s 2, a reflection of how often they forced the away defence into last-ditch interventions. Gulistan’s ability to turn possession into goals was the defining feature of the match.
