OKMK Semurg Angren produced a composed and effective away performance to defeat Andijan FA 2-0 in the UZB D1B on Saturday, claiming all three points with goals in a match they controlled from start to finish. The visitors were sharper in the decisive moments and managed the game intelligently once they had established their lead.

Match Overview

Kicking off at 19:30 in front of the Andijan support, the contest was billed as an opportunity for the home side to assert themselves in the second tier of Uzbek football. Instead, OKMK Semurg Angren imposed their structure early, pressing with discipline and denying Andijan FA the rhythm they needed in midfield.

The pattern of the match was clear: Andijan FA saw a reasonable share of the ball but struggled to convert possession into genuine chances, while the visitors looked dangerous every time they attacked with purpose. Two goals proved more than enough to separate the teams, and the clean sheet underlined the quality of the away side's defensive organisation.

Key Moments

• First goal – OKMK Semurg Angren: The visitors took the lead with a well-constructed attacking move, finishing confidently to put themselves in front and shift the momentum of the match.
• Andijan FA's best spell: The hosts responded with their strongest period of the game, pushing players forward and forcing a series of set pieces and shots from distance.
• Second goal – OKMK Semurg Angren: Against the run of play, the visitors struck again, punishing Andijan FA for leaving space at the back and effectively ending the contest.
• Closing out the win: With a two-goal cushion, OKMK Semurg Angren slowed the tempo, kept their shape and saw out the match without alarm.

Tactical Story

OKMK Semurg Angren's success was built on two principles: compactness without the ball and efficiency with it. Their midfield screened the defence effectively, cutting off passing lanes into Andijan FA's forward players and forcing the hosts to play around them rather than through them. When they won possession, they transitioned quickly, targeting the spaces left by Andijan's advanced full-backs.

Andijan FA, for their part, were guilty of being too predictable in the final third. Their attacks often ended in crosses from wide areas that were comfortably defended, and their inability to find a goal before half time allowed the visitors to grow in confidence. The second goal was a direct consequence of the home side's increasing desperation.

Standout Performers

The OKMK Semurg Angren goalkeeper and central defenders were excellent, dealing with everything Andijan FA threw at them and preserving a valuable clean sheet on the road. In midfield, the visitors' engine room combined energy with composure, while their forwards showed the kind of clinical edge that wins tight matches. Andijan FA's most notable contributions came from their wide players, who kept trying to create openings even as the game slipped away.

Season Impact

This result strengthens OKMK Semurg Angren's position in the UZB D1B standings and adds to their reputation as one of the more reliable sides in the division. For Andijan FA, the defeat is a setback that highlights the need for greater cutting edge in attack and better protection for their defensive line when they commit players forward. In a league where away wins carry significant weight, the three points are particularly valuable for the visitors.

What's Next

OKMK Semurg Angren will look to build on this performance, aiming to turn consistent defensive displays into a sustained push up the table. Andijan FA must find a response quickly, focusing on converting possession into clear chances and improving their decision-making in the final third. Both clubs remain in a competitive section of the UZB D1B, and the coming weeks will be telling.
