Tactical Story

Lexington lined up with an aggressive mindset, pressing El Paso's defenders high and forcing turnovers in advanced areas. Their early goal was a direct result of that pressure, and it allowed them to control the rhythm of the match. Lexington's midfield rotated the ball quickly, pulling El Paso's block from side to side and creating space between the lines.

El Paso adjusted after halftime by sitting deeper and looking to hit on the counter, which produced their goal and briefly shifted the momentum. However, Lexington responded well to the setback, increasing their tempo and re-establishing their attacking threat. The third goal came from a patient build-up that stretched El Paso's defense before a decisive final pass unlocked the box.

Standout Players

• Cameron Lancaster (Lexington): Opened the scoring with a striker's instinct and led the line with authority.
