Cerro Largo came closest to breaking the deadlock in the 67th minute when a header from a corner was cleared off the line by a Juventud defender. Juventud's late pressure amounted to a couple of long-range efforts that failed to trouble the goalkeeper.

The draw keeps both teams in the mid-table region of the Uruguay Reserve League. For Cerro Largo Reserves, it was a lost opportunity to close the gap on the top sides. Juventud De Las Piedras Reserves will be satisfied with a point on the road but will know they need to be more clinical in future matches.
