Polissya Zhytomyr U21 1–3 Rukh Vynnyky U21: Clinical Rukh Too Strong

Polissya Zhytomyr U21 were undone by a ruthlessly efficient Rukh Vynnyky U21 side on 22 May 2026, losing 1–3 at home in the Ukrainian Youth Team Championship. The visitors took control early and never looked back.

Rukh opened the scoring in the 9th minute through winger Ivan Marchyshyn, who cut inside from the left and curled a shot into the far corner. They doubled their lead before the half-hour mark when striker Serhiy Buletsa headed home from a corner. Polissya struggled to create clear chances, with Rukh's compact defence snuffing out any attempts to build play.

Late Consolation Not Enough

Polissya came out with more intensity in the second half and pulled a goal back in the 55th minute, Dmytro Ponomarenko converting a rebound after a free kick. But the home side were caught out on the counter in the 78th minute, Rukh substitute Artem Sitalo finishing coolly to make it 3–1.

The result sees Polissya remain in the lower half of the table, while Rukh Vynnyky climb to fifth, strengthening their push for a playoff spot.
