Ntugasaze FC 0-2 KCCA FC: Kampala City Council Keep Title Charge on Track

Kampala City Council FC secured a professional 2-0 away win over Ntugasaze FC in the Uganda Premier League on Tuesday, 13 October 2026. KCCA FC controlled long stretches of the match and scored in each half to claim all three points in a disciplined display.

Ntugasaze FC worked hard and defended in numbers, but they struggled to create clear chances against a KCCA side that managed the game with experience and composure. The result keeps Kampala City Council FC in the thick of the early-season title conversation while leaving Ntugasaze searching for consistency.

Match Overview

KCCA FC started with purpose, moving the ball quickly through midfield and stretching Ntugasaze with wide overlaps. The home side sat deep in a compact block, hoping to frustrate and counter. For much of the first half, that plan worked reasonably well, but KCCA’s patience paid off when Shaban Muhammad opened the scoring in the 27th minute.

After the break, Ntugasaze pushed a little higher in search of an equaliser, and that created more space for KCCA. The visitors managed the moments well, defended their box with authority and sealed the win through Allan Okello in the 78th minute.

Key Moments

• 27th minute: Shaban Muhammad gave KCCA FC the lead with a sharp finish after a low cross from the right.
• 54th minute: Ntugasaze FC created their best chance of the night, but KCCA’s goalkeeper made a strong save at the near post.
• 78th minute: Allan Okello sealed the victory with a curling effort from the edge of the box after a short corner routine.
• 90+3rd minute: KCCA saw out the closing stages comfortably, limiting Ntugasaze to hopeful crosses.

Tactical Story

KCCA FC set up in a flexible attacking shape, often building through the half-spaces and using their full-backs to create width. Their midfield trio controlled the tempo, winning second balls and preventing Ntugasaze from sustaining counter-attacks. When Ntugasaze did break forward, KCCA’s centre-backs dealt with the danger calmly.

Ntugasaze FC’s defensive organisation was commendable for long periods. They blocked shots, tracked runners and defended set-pieces with determination. But their transition from defence to attack was too slow, and their lone striker was often isolated. Once KCCA scored the second, the match was effectively over.

Standout Players

Shaban Muhammad was a constant threat, scoring the opener and linking play with his back to goal. Allan Okello was influential in the final third, not only for his goal but also for his set-piece delivery and ability to find pockets of space. KCCA’s goalkeeper deserved credit for a crucial save at 1-0, while the captain organised the back line well.

For Ntugasaze FC, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the score respectable, and the central defenders won a number of aerial duels. However, the team lacked a consistent outlet going forward.

Uganda Premier League Table Impact

The victory strengthens KCCA FC’s position in the Uganda Premier League standings and maintains their pursuit of the leading pack. For Ntugasaze FC, the defeat is a reminder of the fine margins in the top flight. They will need to turn defensive resilience into attacking productivity if they are to climb the table in the coming weeks.
