Italy started brightly, pressing high and creating early chances. Turkiye, led by the creative Arda Güler, looked dangerous on the counter but struggled to contain Italy's midfield. The hosts took the lead midway through the first half and never looked back, adding two more goals in the second half before a late consolation for Turkiye. The win extends Italy's unbeaten run in the competition to four matches.

Tactical Story

Italy's 4-3-3 formation allowed their full-backs to push high, pinning Turkiye back. The midfield trio of Barella, Jorginho, and Davide Frattesi controlled possession and transitioned quickly. Turkiye's attempts to press were met with quick combinations, and their defensive line was often exposed by Chiesa's pace. The introduction of Yıldız gave Turkiye a spark, but it was too late to change the outcome.

Standout Players

Federico Chiesa was electric, scoring one and assisting another. Nicolò Barella ran the show with his energy and passing. For Turkiye, Kenan Yıldız impressed off the bench with a well-taken goal, while Arda Güler showed glimpses of his talent despite limited space.

Nations League Table Impact

Italy move level on points with France at the top of Group A2, setting up a crucial clash in November. Turkiye remain fourth, but their performance showed promise for the future as they continue to blood young talent.
