Ittihad Kalba FC 2-2 Al-Jazira: Points Shared in Entertaining Adnoc Pro-League Draw

Ittihad Kalba FC and Al-Jazira played out a 2-2 draw in the United Arab Emirates Adnoc Pro-League on 18 October 2026. The 21:05 kick-off delivered an open contest with four goals, momentum swings and late drama, leaving both sides with a point and a sense of what might have been.

Al-Jazira showed quality in possession and created several promising openings, but Ittihad Kalba’s resilience kept them in the match. The home side’s ability to respond after setbacks was encouraging, while Al-Jazira will be frustrated at failing to protect their lead.

Match overview

The first half was played at a lively tempo. Al-Jazira tried to control the ball through midfield, while Ittihad Kalba looked dangerous on the break. Both teams found space between the lines, and the goalkeepers were called into action before the interval.

The second half became more stretched as both sides pushed for a winner. Ittihad Kalba equalised twice in a match that swung back and forth, and the final stages were tense as Al-Jazira searched for a decisive third goal.

Key moments

• 14th minute: Al-Jazira took the lead through Lucas Ferreira, who finished neatly after a slick passing move.
• 31st minute: Ittihad Kalba equalised when Mohammed Al-Hammadi converted a cross from the right.
• 61st minute: Al-Jazira regained the advantage through Omar Al-Mansoori’s powerful strike.
• 78th minute: Ittihad Kalba levelled again as Rashid Saeed scored from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

Tactical story

Al-Jazira’s possession game produced a number of promising sequences, with their midfielders finding pockets of space and switching play effectively. However, their defensive line was exposed when Ittihad Kalba attacked quickly after turnovers. The home side’s direct running caused problems throughout.

Ittihad Kalba’s approach was built on compact defending and fast transitions. They struggled at times to keep the ball, but their willingness to attack in numbers allowed them to respond twice. The draw was a fair reflection of a match in which both teams had spells of control without fully dominating.

Standout performers

Ferreira was one of Al-Jazira’s most influential players, linking play and scoring the opener. Al-Mansoori’s goal highlighted his ability to strike from distance. For Ittihad Kalba, Al-Hammadi’s movement and finishing were key, while Saeed’s persistence earned the important equaliser.

What the result means

The draw adds another point to both teams’ Adnoc Pro-League campaigns. Al-Jazira may feel they did enough to win, but they will need to defend more convincingly in similar situations. Ittihad Kalba will take confidence from twice coming from behind against a strong opponent.

In a competitive league table, every point matters, and this result could look important later in the season. Both sides remain in the mix, but the match report will leave coaches focusing on defensive details and the need to manage key moments better.
