Hakkarigucu SK Women edged Amedspor Women 1-0 in Turkish Women's Super League action on 24 October 2026, claiming all three points in a tightly contested fixture that was decided by a single goal. On a night when clear chances were at a premium, the home side's composure in the decisive moment proved the difference, while Amedspor were left to rue a spirited performance that yielded nothing from the scoreline.

Match overview

The contest at Hakkari pitted two sides familiar with the demands of the Turkish Women's Super League against one another, and the pattern of the game reflected that familiarity. Both teams prioritised defensive discipline early, closing the central spaces and forcing play wide, where crosses were comfortably dealt with by two well-organised back lines.

Hakkarigucu SK Women gradually established the stronger foothold, pressing higher up the pitch and winning second balls in midfield. That territorial control produced the game's only goal, and from there the hosts managed the occasion with maturity, slowing the tempo when required and defending their box with determination as Amedspor pushed forward after the interval.

Key moments

• The breakthrough: Hakkarigucu's sustained pressure finally told, with a well-worked attacking sequence finished confidently to make it 1-0 and send the home support into celebration.
• The response: Amedspor reorganised after conceding, pushing an extra body forward and testing the hosts' back line with deliveries from wide areas.
• The decisive interventions: A series of blocks, clearances and a sharp save kept the lead intact as the visitors' best spell of the match arrived in the second half.
• The closing stages: Hakkarigucu used their experience to run down the clock, keeping possession in the corners and limiting Amedspor to speculative efforts from distance.

Tactical story

The match was a classic case of a side winning the midfield battle and building from that platform. Hakkarigucu SK Women pressed in coordinated waves, cutting off the visitors' shortest passing options and forcing long balls that were comfortably repelled. Their full-backs were adventurous but disciplined, providing width without leaving the centre-backs exposed.

Amedspor Women, by contrast, grew into the contest once they abandoned their cautious opening approach. Their switch to a more direct style created a handful of half-chances, but the final ball lacked the precision needed to break down a compact and well-drilled defensive unit. It was a performance with plenty of effort but too little cutting edge on the night.

Standout performers

The Hakkarigucu goalkeeper deserved enormous credit for a calm and commanding display, dealing with crosses confidently and making the key save when Amedspor's pressure peaked. In front of her, the central defensive pairing read the game superbly, stepping out to intercept passes and winning the majority of aerial duels. The goalscorer, meanwhile, will remember the evening for the finish that settled the fixture.

For Amedspor, the midfield engine room kept working right to the final whistle, and their wide players offered the visitors' most consistent attacking threat. A little more ruthlessness in the final third would have changed the story of the match entirely.

Season impact

Three points lift Hakkarigucu SK Women's momentum at an important stage of the Turkish Women's Super League campaign, reinforcing their home record and giving the squad confidence heading into the next round of fixtures. For Amedspor Women, the result is a frustrating one, but the performance offers encouragement: on another evening, with sharper finishing, this is a game they could have taken something from. Both sides will now turn their attention to the remainder of the league schedule, where consistency will be the key measure of their ambitions.
