Tactical Story

Fenerbahce SK Women lined up in a 4-3-3, with their front three interchanging positions to confuse the Besiktas defence. Their high press forced Besiktas into long balls, which were easily dealt with by the centre-back pairing of Merve Aydın and Fatma Şahin. Besiktas, playing a 4-2-3-1, tried to build from the back but were overwhelmed in midfield. Their wingers were forced deep to help defensively, leaving the lone striker isolated. In the second half, Besiktas switched to a back three in an attempt to stem the tide, but Fenerbahce's movement and passing were too much to handle. The visitors managed the game expertly, slowing the tempo when needed and exploiting spaces on the counter.

Standout Players

Yağmur Uraz was the star of the show, scoring twice and leading the line with intelligence and aggression. Ebru Demir ran the midfield, capped by a spectacular goal, and she was involved in almost every attacking move. Goalkeeper Derya Yıldız was largely untroubled but made a crucial save at 2-0 to preserve the clean sheet. For Besiktas, midfielder Elif Şahin worked hard but was often overrun, while goalkeeper Selin Yılmaz made several saves to keep the score respectable. Defender Ayşe Demir struggled against the pace of Fenerbahce's forwards.

Season Impact

The three points keep Fenerbahce SK Women firmly in the title race, sending a clear message to their rivals. Their goal difference also received a boost, which could prove vital in a tight title race. For Besiktas Women, the defeat highlights the gap between them and the league's top sides, and they will need to regroup quickly to avoid slipping further down the table. The Istanbul derby is always significant, and this result will give Fenerbahce confidence for the remainder of the season, while Besiktas must address their defensive frailties.
