Manisa Belediyespor U19 produced a ruthless away performance to thrash Menemenspor U19 8-0 in the Turkish U19 A2 League on 28 October 2026, a result that will be remembered as one of the most one-sided scorelines of the season.

Match overview

From the opening minutes, Manisa Belediyespor U19 looked sharper, quicker and far more cohesive than their hosts. Menemenspor U19 struggled to cope with the intensity of the away side's pressing, and once the first goal went in, the match quickly turned into a procession. Manisa scored four times before half-time and added four more after the break, maintaining their attacking rhythm even as the game slipped away from the home team.

The Turkish U19 A2 League is designed to develop young players through competitive football, but this contest was dominated by one team's superior organization and finishing. Menemenspor's defenders were repeatedly exposed by quick transitions, while Manisa's forward line showed no mercy in front of goal.

Key moments

• Manisa Belediyespor U19 opened the scoring early after a turnover in midfield, with a low finish into the bottom corner setting the tone.
• The second goal arrived from a wide overlap and cut-back, finished first-time at the near post.
• A third followed from a set piece, and the fourth came just before half-time when Menemenspor failed to clear their lines.
• After the break, Manisa added a fifth from the penalty spot, before a quick double and a late eighth goal completed the rout.

Tactical story

Manisa Belediyespor U19 pressed high and forced Menemenspor into repeated errors in possession. Their midfield won the majority of second balls, allowing them to sustain attacks and keep the home side pinned back. The away team's width was especially effective, with both wingers stretching the Menemenspor back line and creating space for central runners.

Menemenspor U19, by contrast, could not establish any control. Their attempts to play out from the back were rushed, and their midfield struggled to connect with the forward line. As the goals went in, the home side's shape became increasingly fragmented, and Manisa took full advantage with quick, direct attacking play.

Standout players

Manisa Belediyespor U19's center-forward delivered a standout performance with a hat-trick, while one of the wide players added a brace and two assists. The midfield anchor controlled the tempo and repeatedly started attacks with accurate forward passes, and the goalkeeper kept a clean sheet with a couple of routine but important saves. For Menemenspor, the afternoon was one to forget, though their goalkeeper prevented an even heavier defeat with several second-half stops.

League impact

The 8-0 win gives Manisa Belediyespor U19 a significant boost in goal difference, which could prove crucial in the Turkish U19 A2 League table if the promotion or title race remains tight. For Menemenspor U19, the result is a major setback and raises concerns about their defensive organization heading into the next round of fixtures. Manisa's players and staff will leave with confidence soaring, while the home side must regroup quickly to avoid the season slipping away.
