Key Moments

Samsunspor opened the scoring in the 11th minute after a turnover in midfield. A quick vertical pass released the right-sided attacker, and the finish was placed low beyond the goalkeeper. The lead doubled in the 27th minute when a corner was only half-cleared, allowing Samsunspor’s midfielder to strike through a crowded penalty area.

Erzurum BB U19 responded well before half-time. In the 41st minute, a patient move down the left ended with a cross into the box and a composed finish that made it 2-1. That goal gave the home side brief hope, but Samsunspor restored control after the interval. A third goal arrived in the 58th minute following a fast counter-attack, and the fourth was added in the 79th minute as Erzurum pushed players forward and left space behind.

Tactical Story

Samsunspor U19 lined up with an energetic 4-3-3 shape, pressing Erzurum’s first pass and forcing mistakes in central areas. Their midfield trio covered ground effectively, and the front three rotated constantly, making it difficult for Erzurum’s defence to track runners. The away side also excelled in transition, turning defensive recoveries into scoring chances within seconds.

Erzurum BB U19 showed flashes of good build-up play, particularly in the first half, but they struggled to protect the middle of the pitch. Once Samsunspor gained a two-goal cushion, Erzurum had to commit more bodies forward, which only increased the space available for the visitors’ counter-attacks.

Standout Players

Samsunspor’s attacking midfielder, Emir Kaya, was central to the victory, setting the tone with intelligent movement and link-up play. His contribution in the final third helped create multiple clear chances, while captain Mert Yıldız controlled the midfield with disciplined positioning and clean distribution.

For Erzurum BB U19, Yusuf Aksoy took his goal well and remained a willing runner throughout. The goalkeeper also made several saves to prevent the scoreline from becoming even heavier, but the home defence could not cope with Samsunspor’s speed on the break.

Season Impact

The 4-1 win gives Samsunspor U19 valuable momentum and a strong boost to their goal difference in the Turkish U19 A2 League. For Erzurum BB U19, the result is a reminder of the fine margins in youth football: they competed in patches, but defensive errors and transitions proved costly. Both teams will now turn to their next fixtures with Samsunspor full of confidence and Erzurum seeking a response.
