Erzurum BB U19 edged Eyupspor U19 3-2 in a thrilling Turkish U19 A2 League contest on October 17, 2026, with a late goal settling a match that swung back and forth throughout. The home side showed character to recover from an equalizer and claim all three points in a five-goal encounter.

Match overview

Erzurum BB U19 began brightly, pressing high and forcing Eyupspor into early mistakes. Their reward came in the first half when a well-worked move down the right ended with a composed finish inside the penalty area. Eyupspor responded well to the setback, growing into the game and finding space between Erzurum’s midfield and defense.

The equalizer arrived before half-time, with Eyupspor taking advantage of a loose ball and finishing from close range. That goal changed the mood of the contest, and the second half became an end-to-end battle as both teams committed numbers forward in search of the next goal.

Key moments

Erzurum restored their lead early in the second half after a quick counterattack ended with a low shot into the bottom corner. Eyupspor refused to fold and leveled again midway through the half, capitalizing on a defensive lapse and finishing calmly. With the match seemingly heading for a draw, Erzurum found one final push.

The winning goal came late in the second half, created by a driving run through midfield and finished with a first-time strike that beat the goalkeeper at the near post. Eyupspor pushed for a third equalizer in stoppage time, but Erzurum’s defense held firm under pressure to secure a hard-fought victory.

Tactical story

Erzurum’s high pressing was effective in the first half, forcing Eyupspor into rushed passes and creating turnovers in dangerous areas. However, the aggressive approach also left space behind their midfield, which Eyupspor exploited well during their best spells. The home side’s ability to switch play quickly and attack through the half-spaces made them dangerous throughout.

Eyupspor’s wide players caused problems with their direct running, and their two goals came from moments when they managed to isolate defenders. In the end, Erzurum’s greater cutting edge in the final third proved decisive, while Eyupspor were left to rue the chances they could not convert in the closing stages.

Standout performers

• Erzurum BB U19’s attacking midfielder: Drove the team forward and played a key role in the winning goal.
• Eyupspor U19’s forward: Caused constant problems with movement and finishing.
• Erzurum’s defense: Responded well after conceding twice and protected the late lead.

Table impact

The 3-2 win gives Erzurum BB U19 an important boost in the Turkish U19 A2 League standings and strengthens their confidence in tight matches. Eyupspor U19 will take encouragement from their attacking display but will be frustrated by defensive errors. With youth leagues often decided by small margins, this result could prove valuable for Erzurum as the season progresses.
