Trabzonspor U19 produced a commanding away performance to beat Caykur Rizespor U19 3-0 in the Turkish U19 A2 League on 26 October 2026, taking all three points with a clinical attacking display and a composed clean sheet.

The visitors controlled large parts of the Black Sea clash, showing greater urgency in the final third and making the most of their best spells. Caykur Rizespor U19 had moments of promise, particularly when they managed to get the ball into wide areas, but they struggled to break down a well-organized Trabzonspor defense and were punished for a few costly gaps at the back.

Match overview

Trabzonspor U19 started with purpose, pressing high and forcing Caykur Rizespor U19 into hurried clearances. The early pressure set the tone for the evening: Trabzonspor were quicker to loose balls, more aggressive in midfield duels, and more direct when they won possession. Rizespor’s back line initially held firm, but the warning signs were there as the visitors found pockets of space between the lines.

Once Trabzonspor broke the deadlock, the game became more comfortable for them. They managed the tempo well, slowing the match when needed and accelerating through the middle when Rizespor committed numbers forward. The second goal gave the visitors breathing room, and the third late in the contest confirmed a result that reflected their overall control.

Key moments

• Opening goal: Trabzonspor U19 broke through after a patient attacking move, finding space in the box and finishing with composure to silence the home crowd.
• Second-half control: The visitors doubled their advantage after the break, capitalizing on a turnover and moving the ball quickly into the final third.
• Rizespor’s response: Caykur Rizespor U19 pushed more players forward in search of a route back into the game, but their final pass let them down and Trabzonspor’s goalkeeper dealt comfortably with the few shots that reached him.
• Late third goal: Trabzonspor rounded off the scoring in the closing stages, finishing a counterattack to complete a convincing 3-0 away win.

Tactical story

Trabzonspor U19’s performance was built on midfield control and intelligent pressing. Their central players closed down quickly, forcing Rizespor into sideways passes and limiting their ability to play through the middle. When Trabzonspor won the ball, they looked to attack immediately, with forwards making runs in behind and wide players stretching the defense.

Caykur Rizespor U19 tried to build from the back, but they were often hurried by Trabzonspor’s front line. The home side’s best moments came when they switched play quickly and got their full-backs involved, but those spells were too infrequent. Defensively, Rizespor will be disappointed with the manner of the goals, as Trabzonspor were allowed too much space in dangerous areas.

The clean sheet was equally important for Trabzonspor. Their back four stayed compact, dealt with crosses well, and protected the goalkeeper when Rizespor tried to force their way back into the contest. It was a mature away performance from an academy side showing both attacking quality and defensive discipline.

Standout performers

Trabzonspor U19’s midfield was the engine of the win, winning second balls and setting the tempo for the team’s attacking moves. The forward line caused problems throughout with movement and direct running, while the defense stood firm when Rizespor enjoyed brief spells of pressure.

For Caykur Rizespor U19, the goalkeeper made several saves to keep the scoreline from becoming heavier, and the captain tried to drive the team forward from midfield. However, the home side lacked the cutting edge needed to turn possession into goals and will need a sharper response in their next league fixture.

League impact

The three points strengthen Trabzonspor U19’s position in the Turkish U19 A2 League standings and give the team momentum heading into their next match. A 3-0 away win, complete with a clean sheet, is exactly the kind of result that builds confidence in an academy side. For Caykur Rizespor U19, the defeat is a setback, but the league campaign offers little time to dwell on it. The focus will quickly shift to tightening up defensively and finding more creativity in the final third.

In the wider race, results like this can matter at the end of the season. Trabzonspor U19 will be pleased with the margin of victory and the control they showed, while Rizespor U19 will view the match as a lesson in punishing mistakes. The 3-0 scoreline tells the story of a team that took its chances and another that could not find a way back once the game slipped away.
