Match Overview

The 19:00 kick-off at the Besiktas training complex saw the hosts dominate possession from the start, but Kocaelispor U19 defended resolutely in the opening 45 minutes. Besiktas's midfield, anchored by captain Emirhan Yılmaz, kept the ball moving, but clear chances were hard to come by. The visitors looked dangerous on the counter and even had a goal ruled out for offside in the 28th minute.

Besiktas finally broke the deadlock in the 51st minute. A quick one-two on the edge of the box released striker Arda Kılıç, who slotted the ball into the bottom corner. The goal opened the floodgates. Ten minutes later, a driving run from midfielder Kerem Aslan ended with a powerful shot that the goalkeeper could only parry into the net.

Key Moments

Kocaelispor U19 pulled one back in the 74th minute against the run of play, a fine header from a corner that gave the Besiktas goalkeeper no chance. That goal briefly threatened a comeback, but Besiktas responded immediately. In the 82nd minute, substitute Yusuf Demir sealed the win with a cool finish after a mazy run into the box.

Kocaelispor pushed forward late but found no way through a disciplined Besiktas defence. The hosts managed the game expertly in the final minutes, keeping the ball in the corners and preventing any late drama.

Tactical Story

Besiktas JK U19 deployed a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the full-backs providing width and the attacking midfielders drifting into pockets of space. Their high press forced Kocaelispor into long balls, which were easily dealt with by the centre-backs. Kocaelispor U19 set up in a 4-5-1 but struggled to maintain possession, often resorting to hopeful clearances. The difference in quality in the final third proved decisive.
