Ankaragucu U19 6-0 Ankaraspor U19 — Ankaragucu U19 claimed a commanding 6-0 victory over city rivals Ankaraspor U19 in the Turkish U19 A2 League on 21 October 2026. The derby was decided by Ankaragucu’s clinical finishing, aggressive pressing and ability to turn sustained pressure into goals, leaving Ankaraspor with a difficult evening in both defensive and attacking phases.

Match overview

Ankaragucu started brightly and imposed themselves on the game from the first minute. Their midfield pressed high, forcing Ankaraspor into hurried clearances, and the front line attacked with purpose whenever the ball was won back. Ankaraspor tried to defend in numbers, but they were unable to keep possession long enough to relieve pressure, and the hosts punished them repeatedly with quick combinations around the penalty area.

By half-time, the match was already firmly under Ankaragucu’s control. The second half brought more of the same: Ankaragucu moved the ball quickly, stretched the defence with wide runs and added further goals as Ankaraspor’s resistance faded. The clean sheet was the only remaining objective for the hosts, and they achieved it with relative comfort.

Key moments

• 9th minute: Ankaragucu opened the scoring after a high turnover, finishing low into the corner from inside the box.
• 24th minute: A quick one-two opened up the defence, and the second goal was slotted home confidently.
• 41st minute: A header from a corner made it 3-0 just before the break.
• 53rd minute: Ankaragucu added a fourth with a composed finish after a flowing move down the right.
• 67th minute: A direct run from midfield ended with a powerful strike into the roof of the net.
• 84th minute: The sixth goal arrived from a late counter-attack, sealing a dominant derby win.

Tactical story

Ankaragucu’s pressing structure was the foundation of the win. Their forwards worked in tandem to cut off central passing lanes, while the midfield pushed up to win second balls. That allowed them to sustain attacks and keep Ankaraspor pinned back. In possession, Ankaragucu used the width well, with full-backs overlapping and wingers drifting inside to create overloads.

Ankaraspor, by contrast, struggled to build from the back. Their attempts to play through midfield were often met by immediate pressure, and when they went long, Ankaragucu’s defenders recovered possession comfortably. The visitors did have brief moments on the counter, but they lacked the final pass and were punished for leaving space behind their defensive line.

Standout players

Ankaragucu striker Emir Kaya led the line impressively, scoring a second-half hat-trick and constantly troubling the Ankaraspor defence with his movement. Midfielder Berk Yılmaz controlled the tempo and contributed a goal and an assist, while winger Can Demir was a constant threat down the flank. Defender Mert Aksoy helped preserve the clean sheet with several important interceptions. For Ankaraspor, goalkeeper Ozan Çelik made a number of saves and prevented the scoreline from becoming even more one-sided.

Season impact

The three points give Ankaragucu U19 a significant boost in the Turkish U19 A2 League standings and add valuable goal difference to their record. The derby victory also provides local bragging rights and momentum for the next round of fixtures. Ankaraspor U19 will need to regroup quickly, tighten their defensive shape and find a way to compete more effectively in midfield after a difficult result.
