Yesilyurt Belediyespor produced a commanding 3-0 home victory over Silifke Belediyespor in the Turkish Third League on 25 October 2026, turning a tight first half into a comfortable win with a strong second-half display. The three points lift the hosts’ confidence and leave the visitors with work to do after a difficult afternoon.

Match overview

Yesilyurt Belediyespor set the tone early with aggressive pressing and quick ball circulation, forcing Silifke Belediyespor into a series of defensive errors. The hosts led at the interval and then doubled their advantage shortly after the restart, effectively taking control of the contest. A third goal late on completed a convincing scoreline and reflected the home side’s superiority over the 90 minutes.

Key moments

• Opening goal: Yesilyurt broke the deadlock midway through the first half after sustained pressure, finishing from close range following a scramble in the penalty area.
• Second-half surge: The hosts added a second goal soon after the break, catching Silifke on the counter and finishing clinically.
• Late third: A third goal in the closing stages capped a dominant performance and ended any hopes of a Silifke comeback.

Tactical story

Yesilyurt’s midfield controlled the rhythm of the game, winning most of the second balls and keeping Silifke pinned in their own half for long spells. Their full-backs pushed high, creating overloads on the flanks and allowing the forwards to attack crosses inside the box. Silifke tried to sit deep and hit on the break, but they struggled to retain possession long enough to relieve pressure. Once the second goal went in, the visitors’ shape became more stretched, and Yesilyurt took full advantage with a third goal that underlined their attacking depth.

Standout performers

The Yesilyurt centre-forward was a constant handful, holding up play and bringing teammates into the match. Their right-sided midfielder also impressed with direct running and consistent delivery into dangerous areas. At the back, the home goalkeeper had a quiet but focused afternoon, commanding his area well and preserving the clean sheet with a couple of routine but important saves.

What the result means

The win gives Yesilyurt Belediyespor three valuable points in the TFF Third League table and strengthens their position in what is always a fiercely competitive division. For Silifke Belediyespor, the defeat highlights the need for greater defensive resilience and more composure in possession. With promotion and relegation places often decided by small margins, home wins of this kind can prove crucial by the end of the season.
