Silivrispor produced a controlled and clinical display to beat Yesil Yalova FK 2-0 in the Turkish Third League on 24 October 2026, with two first-half goals settling a contest the hosts largely dominated. The result strengthens Silivrispor's position in the standings while leaving the visitors to reflect on a performance that never quite found its rhythm.

Match overview

Silivrispor set the tone inside the opening ten minutes, pressing high up the pitch and forcing Yesil Yalova FK into a string of loose passes at the back. The breakthrough arrived before the half-hour mark, and it was no surprise that it came from a spell of sustained pressure — a patient move down the right ended with a low ball into the box that was turned in at the near post. The lead gave the hosts confidence, and they doubled it before the interval with a goal of real quality, a swift exchange of passes on the edge of the area finished with a composed strike into the bottom corner.

To their credit, Yesil Yalova FK responded after the restart. They pushed their wing-backs higher, committed an extra body into midfield and created a handful of half-chances in the opening fifteen minutes of the second half. But the decisive moments kept going the hosts' way — a crucial block here, a well-timed interception there — and Silivrispor managed the closing stages with the calm of a side that knew exactly what was required.

Key moments

• First half, 27' — Silivrispor take the lead with a close-range finish after sustained pressure down the right.
• First half, 41' — A slick passing move doubles the advantage with a precise finish from the edge of the area.
• Second half, 58' — Yesil Yalova FK's best chance is blocked bravely inside the six-yard box.
• Second half, 82' — A late counter-attack nearly adds a third for the hosts, but the shot is saved.

Tactical story

The shape of this game was decided by Silivrispor's pressing structure. By pushing their front line onto Yesil Yalova FK's centre-backs, the hosts denied the visitors the opportunity to build patiently from the back and repeatedly forced them into long, hopeful clearances. That turnover economy gave Silivrispor almost total control of the first half, and the two goals were a direct product of it.

Yesil Yalova FK's second-half adjustments helped them find more joy in wide areas, but the visitors lacked the final pass. Their best openings came from crosses rather than through the middle, and Silivrispor's central defenders dealt with that service comfortably. The hosts, with a two-goal cushion, were content to sit slightly deeper and hit on the break, a game plan they executed with discipline.

Standout performers

Silivrispor's midfield was the engine room of the victory, winning second balls and recycling possession intelligently throughout. The two goalscorers deserve credit for their movement and finishing, while the goalkeeper's handling under second-half pressure was faultless. For Yesil Yalova FK, the left-sided player was their most persistent threat, repeatedly beating his man and delivering into the box.

Season impact

Three points and a clean sheet is exactly the sort of afternoon that builds momentum in a long Turkish Third League campaign. Silivrispor have now shown they can win in different ways — through pressure, through quality in the final third, and through game management once ahead. Yesil Yalova FK, meanwhile, must find a way to impose themselves earlier in matches; too often this season their best spells have arrived only after they have fallen behind.
