Silivrispor and Kdz Ereglispor played out a goalless draw in the Turkish Third League on 3 October 2026, a result that left both sides with a share of the points and a sense of what might have been after a tense, tightly contested 90 minutes.

A 0-0 scoreline can sometimes suggest a dull match, but this was an engaging tactical battle in which two well-organised defences largely cancelled each other out. Both goalkeepers were called into action, both midfields fought hard for supremacy and both managers will feel their team did enough to edge it without finding the decisive moment.

Match Overview

From the opening whistle, the game settled into a rhythm of patient build-up and cautious pressing. Silivrispor, playing at home, saw more of the ball in the first half and tried to stretch the opposition with wide overloads. Kdz Ereglispor responded with a compact defensive block, conceding territory but never space in behind, and looking dangerous whenever they won the ball and broke forward quickly.

Chances were shared rather than dominated. Silivrispor forced a string of corners around the half-hour mark, while Kdz Ereglispor created the clearest opening of the first period with a low drive from the edge of the box that was pushed around the post.

Key Moments

• 17th minute: Silivrispor's first sight of goal, a header from a deep cross that drops just over the bar.
• 33rd minute: Kdz Ereglispor's best chance of the opening half, a fierce shot from distance turned away by the goalkeeper.
• 52nd minute: Silivrispor win a free-kick in a promising position, but the delivery is cleared at the near post.
• 74th minute: The woodwork comes to Kdz Ereglispor's rescue as Silivrispor strike the crossbar from a corner.
• 88th minute: Kdz Ereglispor have the ball in the net, but the effort is ruled out for offside.

Tactical Story

The match was decided in the middle third. Silivrispor tried to build through short, quick passes and use their full-backs to create two-versus-one situations out wide. Kdz Ereglispor, meanwhile, defended narrowly and looked to counter through their pacey wide players, aiming to attack the space left behind by the home side's advanced full-backs.

Neither approach produced a breakthrough, largely because both centre-back partnerships were excellent. They read the game well, timed their interceptions and dominated in the air. As the match wore on, the game became more stretched, and the final 15 minutes produced the best chances of the night, but the finishing lacked the composure needed to settle it.

Standout Players

Both goalkeepers deserve praise for keeping clean sheets. Silivrispor's number one was alert to danger and commanded his area well, while his opposite number produced the save of the match in the first half. In defence, the two captains led by example, organising their lines and stepping out to intercept passes before they could become dangerous.

In midfield, Silivrispor's deep-lying playmaker was the most composed figure on the pitch, dictating tempo and switching play intelligently. For Kdz Ereglispor, the energetic box-to-box midfielder covered an enormous amount of ground and repeatedly turned defence into attack.

Season Impact

A point apiece keeps both clubs moving in the Turkish Third League table, though each will know that matches like this — where the margins are so small — often define the shape of a season. Silivrispor will point to their territorial control and the late chances as evidence that a win is close; Kdz Ereglispor will take confidence from a disciplined away clean sheet. Both sides now turn their attention to the next round of fixtures, where converting draws into victories will be the priority.
