Kucukcekmece 2-1 Duzcespor: Second-Half Comeback Secures Home Victory

Kucukcekmece produced a determined second-half comeback to beat Duzcespor 2-1 in the Turkish Third League on 18 October 2026. After conceding early, the hosts improved steadily, equalised soon after the break, and found the winning goal in the closing stages to claim an important three points.

Match Overview

Duzcespor started the match with purpose and took the lead after 22 minutes when Serkan Kılıç finished calmly following a swift attacking move. Kucukcekmece struggled to find rhythm in the opening half, but they remained in the contest and began to threaten through set pieces and crosses from the flanks.

The momentum shifted after half-time. Kucukcekmece raised their pressing intensity, won more second balls in midfield, and equalised four minutes into the second half. From that point on, the home side looked the more likely winner, and their persistence was rewarded with a late goal that sparked celebrations around the ground.

Key Moments

• 22’ – Kucukcekmece 0-1 Duzcespor: Serkan Kılıç opened the scoring with a low finish after Duzcespor broke quickly through midfield.
• 49’ – Kucukcekmece 1-1 Duzcespor: Berkay Arslan equalised with a first-time strike from the edge of the box after a patient build-up.
• 82’ – Kucukcekmece 2-1 Duzcespor: Umut Demir scored the winner, heading home from a deep cross to complete the comeback.

Tactical Story

Kucukcekmece’s first-half performance was marked by hesitation in possession, allowing Duzcespor to dictate the tempo. The visitors defended compactly and looked to hit space behind the home defence. However, Kucukcekmece’s decision to push their wingers higher after the interval changed the game, forcing Duzcespor to defend deeper and opening gaps in wide areas.

The winning goal came from exactly that route: a wide delivery into the box, an aggressive run from midfield, and a header that gave the goalkeeper little chance. Duzcespor pushed for a late equaliser but struggled to create clear chances against a home defence that had grown in confidence as the match progressed.

Standout Players

Berkay Arslan was instrumental in Kucukcekmece’s comeback, driving the team forward and scoring the equaliser. Umut Demir’s late winner capped a strong second-half display, while the home goalkeeper made a crucial save at 1-1 to deny Duzcespor a second goal. For Duzcespor, Serkan Kılıç was their most dangerous attacker and took his goal well.

Season Impact

The victory gives Kucukcekmece a timely boost in the Turkish Third League table and reinforces their ability to respond under pressure. Duzcespor will be disappointed to have taken the lead and lost, especially after an encouraging first half. With the league table so tightly packed, this result could prove valuable for Kucukcekmece in the race for a strong finish.
