Etimesgut Belediye Spor vs Bucaspor: Turkish Third League Report

Etimesgut Belediye Spor secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Bucaspor in the Turkish Third League on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The home side controlled the match from start to finish, scoring in each half to claim all three points. Bucaspor struggled to create clear chances and were left to reflect on a disappointing away performance.

First Half Dominance

Etimesgut Belediye Spor started brightly, pressing high and forcing Bucaspor into early mistakes. The opening goal came in the 22nd minute when a quick passing move down the left ended with a low cross that was tapped in at the back post. The goal settled the home side, who continued to dictate play. Bucaspor’s best chance came from a free-kick in the 37th minute, but the effort sailed over the bar. Etimesgut’s goalkeeper was largely untroubled in the first half.

Second Half Security

After the break, Etimesgut doubled their lead in the 54th minute with a well-taken goal from outside the box. The midfielder received the ball with his back to goal, turned, and unleashed a powerful shot into the bottom corner. Bucaspor tried to respond by pushing more players forward, but they lacked quality in the final third. Their striker was well marshalled by Etimesgut’s centre-backs, who won almost every duel. The home side comfortably saw out the remaining minutes, even hitting the post late on.

Key Moments

• 22’ – Etimesgut 1-0: A back-post tap-in after a flowing move.
• 54’ – Etimesgut 2-0: A stunning turn and shot from outside the area.
• 78’ – Bucaspor chance: A header from a corner goes narrowly wide.
• 86’ – Etimesgut post: A curling effort strikes the woodwork.

Match Analysis

Etimesgut Belediye Spor’s 4-3-3 formation worked perfectly, with the wingers stretching Bucaspor’s defence and the central midfielders controlling the tempo. Bucaspor’s 4-2-3-1 lacked width and creativity, often resorting to hopeful long balls. The difference in intensity was clear, and Etimesgut’s superior fitness levels allowed them to press for the full 90 minutes. Bucaspor’s manager will need to address his team’s away form if they are to climb the table.

Player Performances

The Etimesgut midfielder who scored the second goal was the standout player, combining energy with technical quality. The right-back also impressed with his overlapping runs and accurate deliveries. For Bucaspor, their goalkeeper made several good saves to keep the score respectable, but the defence in front of him was too easily opened up. The result leaves Etimesgut in a strong position in the Turkish Third League, while Bucaspor drop points in their quest for promotion.
