Söke 1970 SK and Denizli IY Gureller shared the points in the most entertaining fixture of the Turkish Third League round, drawing 3-3 on 18 October 2026. Six goals, a lead that changed hands, and a frantic closing period made this a night to remember for the home support, even if neither coach will have enjoyed the defending.

Match overview

The game was open from the first whistle. Söke 1970 SK pushed bodies forward early, committing their full-backs high and looking to overwhelm the Denizli back line with numbers in the box. Denizli IY Gureller responded by sitting slightly deeper and attacking on the counter, a plan that produced goals but never quite delivered control of the match.

Key moments

• Early breakthrough: Söke 1970 SK opened the scoring inside the first 20 minutes after sustained pressure down the left flank.
• Quick reply: Denizli IY Gureller equalised within minutes, punishing a slack pass in midfield with a fast transition.
• Goal rush: Three goals arrived in a chaotic spell either side of half-time, with the visitors twice taking the lead.
• Late leveller: Söke 1970 SK rescued a point with a goal in the closing stages, converting from close range after a scramble in the box.

Tactical story

Söke 1970 SK's approach was built on width and overlapping runs, and it worked in spells: their two goals from open play both came from crosses delivered from the byline. The trade-off was exposure at the back, and Denizli IY Gureller exploited it ruthlessly, repeatedly finding space behind the advanced full-backs. The visitors' midfield trio was excellent at turning defence into attack in two or three passes.

Standout performers

Söke 1970 SK's attacking midfielder was the creative hub, involved in all three goals and constantly finding pockets of space between the lines. Denizli IY Gureller's centre-forward produced a tireless display, holding the ball up and bringing others into play, while their goalkeeper made a string of saves in the second half to preserve the draw.

Season impact

Both teams will view this as two points dropped and one gained. The draw keeps Söke 1970 SK unbeaten on home soil this season and reinforces their reputation as one of the division's more watchable sides, but the defensive lapses will concern the coaching staff. Denizli IY Gureller, meanwhile, showed again that they can score against anyone in the Turkish Third League — the challenge is closing games out.
