Fenerbahce produced a dominant home performance to defeat Alanyaspor 3-0 in the Turkish Super League, with a polished attacking display and a solid defensive effort keeping them firmly in the title conversation.

The hosts controlled the game from the opening whistle, pressing Alanyaspor high and creating chances through quick combinations in wide areas. Once Fenerbahce took the lead, the match rarely looked in doubt, and a second goal before the break put them in complete command.

Match overview

Fenerbahce’s intensity set the tone. Their midfield won second balls, their full-backs pushed high and the front line constantly rotated to drag Alanyaspor’s defenders out of position. Alanyaspor tried to sit deep and counter, but they struggled to keep possession long enough to relieve pressure.

The home side added a third goal in the second half and managed the remainder of the match professionally, protecting the clean sheet and avoiding unnecessary risk.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Fenerbahce took an early lead with a low finish after a sharp move down the left.
• 39th minute: The hosts doubled their advantage from a well-timed run into the box and a composed finish.
• 61st minute: Alanyaspor’s goalkeeper made a double save to deny Fenerbahce a third.
• 76th minute: Fenerbahce scored their third with a close-range finish after sustained pressure.
• 88th minute: Alanyaspor’s best chance of the night was blocked by a last-ditch challenge.

Tactical story

Fenerbahce’s high press forced Alanyaspor into long clearances and turnovers in dangerous areas. The home midfield controlled the rhythm, switching play quickly and creating one-on-one opportunities for the wingers. Alanyaspor’s defensive block was too deep to threaten consistently on the break, and their few counter-attacks lacked support.

The tactical highlight was Fenerbahce’s ability to overload the flanks. Their full-backs combined with the wide forwards to stretch Alanyaspor’s back line, opening space for late runs into the penalty area. The third goal was a perfect example of that pattern.

Standout performers

Fenerbahce’s centre-forward led the line superbly, contributing to the scoring and creating space for others. The midfield controller dictated play and won several important duels, while the centre-backs dealt with Alanyaspor’s limited attacking threat. Alanyaspor’s goalkeeper deserved credit for keeping the score down with a string of saves.

What the result means

The victory strengthens Fenerbahce’s position in the Turkish Super League standings and sends a clear message about their title ambitions. A 3-0 win at home, complete with a clean sheet, is exactly the kind of result that builds momentum during a long season. Alanyaspor, meanwhile, will need to regroup after a difficult night in which they were second-best in almost every department.

Fenerbahce now turn their attention to their next fixture with confidence high, while Alanyaspor must find a more effective way to compete against the league’s top sides.
