Kocaelispor came from behind to beat Alanyaspor 2-1 in the Turkish Super League on October 24, 2026, claiming an impressive away victory in one of the season’s more competitive fixtures. Alanyaspor led early, but Kocaelispor’s second-half response earned them all three points.

Match overview

Alanyaspor started brightly and took the lead in the 23rd minute after a patient passing move created space on the edge of the box. The home side looked comfortable for much of the first half, but Kocaelispor stayed within reach and began to press higher after the interval.

The equaliser arrived in the 52nd minute, and from that point the match shifted. Kocaelispor controlled more of the ball, forced Alanyaspor deeper, and found the winning goal in the 78th minute with a well-timed run into the penalty area.

Key moments

• 23rd minute: Alanyaspor take the lead with a composed finish after a flowing attacking move.
• 52nd minute: Kocaelispor equalise with a close-range effort following pressure down the left.
• 78th minute: The away side score the winner after a quick transition and a precise finish.
• 90+ minutes: Alanyaspor push forward, but Kocaelispor defend their box well to see out the win.

Tactical story

Kocaelispor’s second-half adjustment was key. They pressed Alanyaspor’s deeper midfielders more aggressively and forced longer passes, which allowed them to win the ball higher up the pitch. Their ability to switch play quickly also created space against an Alanyaspor back line that had been comfortable in the first half.

Alanyaspor remained dangerous in spells, especially from crosses, but their final ball lacked accuracy after the hour mark. Kocaelispor’s compact defensive shape in the closing stages protected the lead well.

Standout players

Kocaelispor’s attacking midfielder was the game’s most influential player, linking midfield and attack and contributing to both goals. The away goalkeeper also made two important saves at 1-1, while Alanyaspor’s wide forward was their most consistent threat before being substituted late on.

Season impact

The win is a significant boost for Kocaelispor in the Turkish Super League standings, showing they can take points away from home against direct competitors. Alanyaspor’s defeat leaves them with work to do, particularly in game management after taking the lead.
