Beyoglu Yeni Carsi came from behind to beat Kirklarelispor 2-1 in the Turkish Second League on Sunday, 20 September 2026. A late winner settled a hard-fought contest and handed the visitors an important away victory in the TFF 2. Lig promotion and relegation battle.

Match Overview

Kirklarelispor started the stronger side and took the lead with a well-worked move in the first half. The home team pressed aggressively and looked to turn possession into quick attacks. Beyoglu Yeni Carsi, however, stayed patient, adjusted their shape after the break, and gradually took control of midfield. Their persistence paid off with an equaliser early in the second half and a dramatic winner in the closing minutes.

The 2-1 scoreline was tough on Kirklarelispor, who competed well for long spells, but Beyoglu Yeni Carsi’s sharper finishing in the final third proved the difference.

Key Moments

• 18th minute: Kirklarelispor took the lead when Mert Aydin found space at the near post and turned in a teasing cross.
• 52nd minute: Beyoglu Yeni Carsi equalised as Emre Kaya struck from the edge of the box after a short corner was worked back into his path.
• 88th minute: The visitors grabbed the winner when substitute Burak Demir broke through the middle and finished calmly one-on-one.
• 90+3 minutes: Kirklarelispor threw everyone forward for a late corner, but Beyoglu’s defence cleared the danger to seal the win.

Tactical Story

Kirklarelispor began in a 4-4-2 shape, looking to press Beyoglu Yeni Carsi high and force mistakes in the defensive third. It worked early on, with the home side winning second balls and creating the opening goal. However, as the match progressed, their energy levels dropped and gaps appeared between midfield and defence.

Beyoglu Yeni Carsi switched to a more aggressive 4-3-3 after half-time, pushing their full-backs higher and overloading the wide areas. The tactical change allowed them to sustain pressure, and the late winner came from a direct run through the centre that Kirklarelispor could not track.

Standout Players

Emre Kaya was at the heart of Beyoglu Yeni Carsi’s comeback, driving forward from midfield and taking his goal well. Burak Demir made an immediate impact from the bench, while the visiting goalkeeper produced a crucial save in the first half to keep the deficit at one. For Kirklarelispor, Mert Aydin was their most dangerous attacker and took his goal with confidence.

Season Impact

The three points lift Beyoglu Yeni Carsi’s confidence and improve their position in the Turkish Second League standings. Kirklarelispor will be frustrated to have let a lead slip at home, especially in a match where they competed for large periods. With the TFF 2. Lig table often tight, results like this can have a major say in the race for promotion and the fight against relegation.
