Karacabey Belediyespor controlled large parts of the match, built a comfortable lead with a sharp first-half display, and answered a brief second-half scare with a third goal that settled the contest.

Karacabey’s strong home display

The home side set the tone early, pressing Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor high and forcing mistakes in the defensive third. Karacabey’s opening goal arrived in the 12th minute after a quick exchange on the edge of the box opened space for a low finish. They doubled the lead in the 34th minute, again benefiting from aggressive pressing and a well-timed run into the penalty area. By half-time, the hosts were firmly in control.

Match overview

Karacabey Belediyespor’s midfield dominated the first half. They won most of the loose balls, moved the ball quickly from side to side and created overloads in wide areas. Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor struggled to settle into the game and were often forced into long clearances, which only invited more pressure. The third goal came in the 57th minute, effectively ending the visitors’ hopes of a comeback.

To their credit, Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor improved after the hour mark and pulled one back in the 76th minute with a well-taken goal from a set-piece situation. That briefly gave the away side some belief, but Karacabey managed the closing stages calmly and prevented any late drama.

Key moments

• 12th minute: Karacabey Belediyespor take the lead with a low finish after a clever exchange at the edge of the box.
• 34th minute: A second goal for the hosts, created by a high turnover and a run into the penalty area.
• 57th minute: Karacabey make it 3-0 with a composed finish after sustained pressure.

Tactical story

Karacabey’s high press was the defining feature of the match. They denied Kahramanmaraş time on the ball in deep areas and forced errors that led directly to attacking opportunities. Their midfield trio also worked hard to cover the spaces between the lines, preventing the visitors from finding any rhythm through central areas.

In possession, Karacabey were direct but not rushed. They used the width of the pitch well, switched play when necessary and got numbers into the box for crosses and cut-backs. Kahramanmaraş’s best moments came from set pieces and occasional counter-attacks, but they were too infrequent to seriously threaten a comeback once the home side had established a three-goal lead.

Standout performers

Karacabey’s centre-forward was a constant problem for the visiting defence, linking play and creating space for runners around him. The home side’s midfield also deserved credit for the energy and intelligence of their pressing. For Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor, the goalkeeper kept the score respectable with several second-half saves, while the substitute who scored the consolation goal showed good movement and composure.

Table impact

The three points strengthen Karacabey Belediyespor’s position in the Turkish Second League and give them a valuable home win to build on. Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor remain with work to do, particularly away from home, where they struggled to handle Karacabey’s intensity. For the visitors, the second-half response offers some encouragement, but the first-half performance left them with too much to recover.
