Erbaaspor S 3-2 Sebat Genclikspor delivered one of the most entertaining matches of the Turkish Second League round on September 20, 2026, with a late winner settling a five-goal thriller at the Erbaa District Stadium. Erbaaspor S raced into a two-goal lead, survived a spirited Sebat Genclikspor comeback, and then snatched all three points with a decisive strike six minutes from time.

The match had almost everything: early pressure, clinical finishing, a tactical swing after halftime, and a tense finish that left both sets of supporters on edge. For Erbaaspor S, the victory is a statement of intent; for Sebat Genclikspor, the defeat is a painful reminder of how quickly a strong response can be undone by one moment of defensive hesitation.

Match Overview

Erbaaspor S began with a high-tempo 4-3-3, pressing Sebat Genclikspor’s center-backs and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. That approach paid off in the 12th minute when Burak Demir pounced on a loose ball inside the box and fired low into the corner. Fifteen minutes later, Umut Çelik doubled the lead with a composed finish after a quick break down the left.

Sebat Genclikspor looked stunned but gradually found their footing. A goal in first-half stoppage time, scored by Serkan Aydın from a well-worked set piece, changed the mood completely. Sebat carried that momentum into the second half and equalized in the 63rd minute through Hakan Öztürk, whose curling effort from the edge of the area beat the goalkeeper at full stretch.

Just as the game seemed to be heading for a draw, Erbaaspor S found a final surge. In the 84th minute, Burak Demir grabbed his second of the night, reacting quickest to a rebound after the Sebat goalkeeper parried a powerful shot. The home side then managed the closing minutes with maturity to secure the win.

Key Moments

• 12th minute: Burak Demir opens the scoring for Erbaaspor S after a high press forces a mistake.
• 27th minute: Umut Çelik makes it 2-0 with a calm finish on the counterattack.
• 45+2nd minute: Serkan Aydın pulls one back for Sebat Genclikspor from a corner.
• 63rd minute: Hakan Öztürk equalizes with a curling strike from outside the box.
• 84th minute: Burak Demir scores the winner, completing a memorable brace.

Tactical Story

Erbaaspor S’s aggressive pressing was the defining feature of the first half. By winning the ball high up the pitch, they created chances without needing long spells of possession. However, their intensity dropped after the interval, and Sebat Genclikspor took full advantage by pushing their full-backs higher and overloading the wide areas.

Sebat’s switch to a 4-2-3-1 after halftime gave them more control in midfield, and for a 20-minute period they looked the more likely winners. The decisive moment came from a transition, though: Erbaaspor S won the ball back in midfield, drove forward quickly, and punished a defensive rebound. It was a harsh lesson in game management for the visitors.

Standout Players

Burak Demir was the obvious hero for Erbaaspor S, scoring twice and leading the line with energy and intelligence. Umut Çelik also impressed with his direct running, while the midfield trio worked tirelessly to disrupt Sebat’s rhythm. For Sebat Genclikspor, Hakan Öztürk was the standout, driving his team forward and scoring a goal that briefly looked like it would earn a point.

Season Impact

The three points lift Erbaaspor S’s confidence and reinforce their reputation as a dangerous home side. Sebat Genclikspor remain competitive but will be frustrated by their defensive lapses, especially after such a brave comeback. In the crowded Turkish Second League table, this result could prove significant when the promotion and relegation battles are settled later in the season.
