Inegol Kafkas Genclik secured a hard-fought 2-1 away win at Ankaraspor FK in the Turkish Second League on Saturday, October 10, 2026, using a disciplined counter-attacking display to take all three points from a tense encounter. A late winner settled a match that Ankaraspor had largely controlled in possession but not in the penalty area.

Match Overview

Ankaraspor FK started with intent, dominating the ball and pushing Inegol Kafkas Genclik deep into their own half. But the visitors were organised and dangerous on the break, and they took the lead on 19 minutes with a clinical finish after a fast transition. Ankaraspor continued to probe and eventually equalised from the penalty spot early in the second half.

Just as the home side looked the more likely winner, Inegol struck again. A corner in the 78th minute was met with a powerful header, and despite late pressure from Ankaraspor, the away side held on for a valuable victory. The result leaves Ankaraspor frustrated at home and Inegol celebrating a significant away performance.

• 19th minute: Inegol Kafkas Genclik took the lead with a low finish after a through ball split the Ankaraspor defence.

• 65th minute: Ankaraspor hit the post with a curling effort from the edge of the box.

Tactical Story

Ankaraspor FK lined up with a possession-based 4-2-3-1, looking to dominate midfield and create chances through their playmaker. They succeeded in controlling the tempo for long periods but struggled to break down a compact Inegol defence that dropped into two banks of four. The visitors were happy to concede territory and attack in transition, which produced the opening goal.

Inegol’s set-piece threat proved decisive. Their height and organisation at corners gave them a weapon that Ankaraspor could not handle, and the winning goal came from exactly that source. Ankaraspor pushed numbers forward late on, but Inegol’s goalkeeper and centre-backs stood firm under pressure.

Standout Players

Inegol’s centre-forward was excellent, leading the line and scoring the opener, while their centre-back headed in the winner and defended resolutely. The goalkeeper also deserved credit for a late save that preserved the three points. For Ankaraspor, their playmaker was at the heart of most good moves, and the penalty taker converted calmly, but the team lacked a final spark in the last third.

Table and Season Impact

The win lifts Inegol Kafkas Genclik into the playoff places in the Turkish Second League and gives them momentum for the coming weeks. Ankaraspor FK, meanwhile, remain in the relegation zone and will be concerned by their inability to turn possession into goals at home. With the season still long, there is time to recover, but this was a costly defeat in front of their own supporters.
