Silivrispor edged a pulsating five-goal thriller against Bulvarspor, winning 3-2 in the TUR Kupası on October 7, 2026. The home side twice surrendered the lead but showed remarkable character to secure their place in the next round of Turkey’s premier cup competition with a late winner at the Silivri Stadium.

Match Overview

Cup nights under the lights always carry an extra edge, and this all-Istanbul clash lived up to the billing. Silivrispor, playing in front of a vocal home crowd, started brightly and took an early lead, but Bulvarspor responded with two quickfire goals to turn the tie on its head. The second half was a tense, end-to-end affair, with both sides creating chances before Silivrispor’s late surge sealed a dramatic victory.

The win is a significant morale boost for Silivrispor, who have often struggled against higher-ranked opposition in cup competitions. Bulvarspor, meanwhile, will be left to rue missed opportunities and a defensive lapse that proved costly in the dying minutes.

Key Moments

Silivrispor needed just nine minutes to open the scoring. A driving run from midfielder Emre Kaya ended with a neat one-two on the edge of the box, and he calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper. Bulvarspor responded well and equalized in the 24th minute through a stunning free-kick from captain Mehmet Demir, which curled into the top corner.

Five minutes later, the visitors took the lead. A swift counter-attack ended with Ali Yılmaz finishing from close range after a low cross from the right. Silivrispor went into half-time trailing but came out reinvigorated. They equalized in the 58th minute when a corner was only half-cleared, and defender Hakan Öztürk lashed the ball home from 12 yards. The game appeared headed for extra time until the 87th minute, when substitute Burak Şahin latched onto a through ball and lifted it over the advancing goalkeeper to send the home fans into raptures.

Tactical Story

Silivrispor set up in an attacking 4-3-3, looking to use the width of the pitch to stretch Bulvarspor’s defence. Their full-backs were aggressive, often overlapping to create 2-v-1 situations on the flanks. The midfield trio, anchored by the tenacious Emre Kaya, controlled the tempo for long spells, though they were occasionally exposed on the counter.

Bulvarspor adopted a more conservative 4-2-3-1, relying on quick transitions and set-pieces. Their two goals came from exactly that — a dead-ball situation and a fast break. However, they dropped too deep after taking the lead, inviting pressure, and Silivrispor’s persistence eventually told. The introduction of Burak Şahin proved decisive, adding fresh legs and a poacher’s instinct in the box.

Standout Players

• Emre Kaya (Silivrispor): Dictated play from midfield, scored the opener, and was involved in the build-up to the winner.
• Burak Şahin (Silivrispor): The super-sub made an instant impact, scoring the 87th-minute winner with a composed finish.
• Hakan Öztürk (Silivrispor): Solid at the back and popped up with a crucial equalizer from a corner.
• Mehmet Demir (Bulvarspor): His free-kick was a moment of pure quality and he led his team admirably throughout.

Season Impact

This victory propels Silivrispor into the next round of the TUR Kupası, where they will hope to continue their giant-killing run. The cup provides a welcome distraction from league duties and a chance to build momentum. For Bulvarspor, the defeat is a bitter pill to swallow, but their spirited performance showed they can compete with teams from higher divisions. They will now focus on their league campaign, while Silivrispor celebrate a famous cup night.
