Silivrispor 3-2 Beyoglu Yeni Carsi: Late Goal Decides Five-Goal TUR Kupası Thriller

Silivrispor edged Beyoglu Yeni Carsi 3-2 in a pulsating TUR Kupası encounter on 28 October 2026, with a late winner settling a match that had swung dramatically in both directions. The home side led twice, were pegged back, and then found the decisive goal in the closing stages of a five-goal cup classic.

The contest was everything a knockout cup tie should be: fast, open and full of momentum shifts. Silivrispor’s early pressing gave them control, Beyoglu Yeni Carsi responded with a spirited comeback, and the final stages produced the kind of late drama that can define a cup campaign.

Match Overview

Silivrispor began with intent, pressing high and forcing errors in the visitors’ build-up. Their early dominance was rewarded with the opening goal, and when they added a second before the break, the home side appeared to have taken a firm grip on the tie. Beyoglu Yeni Carsi, however, stayed in the contest by grabbing a goal back before half-time.

That goal changed the mood. Beyoglu returned after the interval with greater composure in midfield and began to find spaces between Silivrispor’s defensive lines. The equaliser arrived midway through the second half, setting up a tense finale in which both teams had chances before Silivrispor delivered the decisive blow.

Key Moments

• 9th minute: Silivrispor took the lead after a high press forced a turnover, with the ball worked quickly into the box and finished confidently.
• 27th minute: The home side doubled their advantage through a slick attacking move, opening up the defence before a close-range finish.
• 43rd minute: Beyoglu Yeni Carsi pulled one back with a well-directed header from a wide delivery.
• 59th minute: The visitors equalised with a low drive from just outside the penalty area, beating the goalkeeper after a spell of sustained pressure.
• 86th minute: Silivrispor found the winner when a cutback from the right was met with a first-time finish inside the box.

The winning goal came after Silivrispor had weathered a difficult period. Beyoglu had looked the more composed side for much of the second half, but the home team’s persistence paid off when they created one final clear opening and took it.

Tactical Story

Silivrispor’s high press was a defining feature of the first half. They forced Beyoglu into rushed passes and won possession in dangerous areas, which allowed them to build an early lead. The home side’s wide players stretched the defence, while their midfield runners arrived late in the box to support attacks.

Beyoglu Yeni Carsi adjusted well after falling two goals behind. They added more control in central areas, slowed the tempo and began to ask questions of Silivrispor’s back line. Their equaliser came from a patient build-up rather than a quick counter, showing their ability to adapt. In the end, though, a defensive lapse in the closing minutes proved costly.

Standout Performers

Silivrispor’s right-sided attacker was a constant threat, contributing to the early goals and delivering the cutback for the late winner. Their central midfielder also played a key role, pressing aggressively and linking play between the lines. The goalkeeper made an important save at 2-2 to keep the score level before the home side’s final push.

For Beyoglu Yeni Carsi, the attacking midfielder was the standout figure, driving the comeback with intelligent movement and incisive passing. The centre-forward’s header gave them a route back into the game, while the midfield unit grew stronger as the match progressed. Their performance will be remembered for its character, even if the result went against them.

What the Result Means

The 3-2 victory gives Silivrispor momentum and a memorable cup win, but it also exposed some of the defensive vulnerabilities they will need to address. Leading 2-0 and then being pegged back to 2-2 is a warning sign, even if the attacking response was impressive. The late winner will do wonders for confidence in the dressing room.

Beyoglu Yeni Carsi leave with a narrow defeat but plenty of encouragement. Their comeback showed resilience and tactical flexibility, and they will feel they were competitive for long stretches. In a competition like the TUR Kupası, however, small margins decide ties, and Silivrispor’s ability to find one final goal proved the difference.
