Match overview

• Competition: TUR Kupası (Turkish Cup)
• Date: 27 October 2026
• Full-time result: İnegöl Kafkas Gençlik 1–4 Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor

İnegöl Kafkas Gençlik began with energy in front of their home supporters, but the game quickly developed into a contest defined by the visitors’ sharper finishing and ability to punish mistakes. Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor were compact without the ball, direct in transition, and far more ruthless in the final third as the match wore on.

Key moments

The visitors took the lead in the ninth minute when Emre Kılıç reacted quickest inside the penalty area, finishing calmly after İnegöl failed to clear a dangerous ball into the box. The early goal changed the tone of the tie, forcing the home side to commit more players forward.

İnegöl responded well and found an equaliser in the 27th minute. Mert Yıldız capped a spell of sustained pressure with a well-taken finish, lifting the home crowd and briefly putting the momentum back in İnegöl’s favour.

However, Kahramanmaraş regained control just before half-time. Yusuf Demir restored the visitors’ lead in the 41st minute with a low drive from the edge of the area, a goal that proved to be a major psychological blow for the home side.

The second half belonged largely to Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor. Emre Kılıç added his second of the night in the 63rd minute after a quick counter-attack exposed İnegöl’s stretched defence. The visitors then sealed the result in the 84th minute when Baran Aslan headed home from a corner, completing a professional and damaging away performance.

Tactical story

Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor set up with a disciplined shape and looked to attack through quick transitions rather than long spells of possession. Their midfield worked hard to close central spaces, and the front line consistently targeted the channels behind İnegöl’s advancing full-backs. That approach paid off as the home side pushed forward in search of an equaliser after half-time.

İnegöl Kafkas Gençlik had spells of control, particularly before and just after their equaliser, but they struggled to sustain pressure once Kahramanmaraş retook the lead. Set-piece defending also proved costly, with the visitors’ fourth goal arriving from a corner that was not dealt with convincingly. The home side’s inability to turn territory into clear chances left them exposed to counter-attacks.

Standout players

• Emre Kılıç was the key figure for Kahramanmaraş, scoring twice and constantly stretching the home defence.
• Yusuf Demir controlled the tempo in midfield and produced the crucial second goal before half-time.
• Baran Aslan delivered a strong defensive display and added the fourth goal with a powerful header.
• Mert Yıldız was İnegöl’s brightest attacking outlet and scored their only goal of the night.
• Goalkeeper Efe Karaca made several saves to keep the score down, even though the result ultimately slipped away from the home side.

What it means

The result sends Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor into the next round with confidence and a clear attacking statement. For İnegöl Kafkas Gençlik, the cup exit will be disappointing, but the performance offered some positive moments, especially during the first half. Both sides will now shift their attention back to their domestic league schedules, with İnegöl looking to respond quickly and Kahramanmaraş hoping to carry the momentum of a four-goal away win into their next fixture.
