The Turkish Cup produced a six-goal thriller as Eskisehir Anadolu beat Kepez Belediyespor 4-2 on 7 October 2026, with the home side's attacking football ultimately overwhelming a resilient visiting team. In a knockout competition where one bad night ends a campaign, Eskisehir Anadolu combined ruthlessness in front of goal with enough composure at the back to survive a spirited Kepez Belediyespor fightback and book their place in the next round.

Match Overview

Cup football often rewards teams who start quickly, and Eskisehir Anadolu did exactly that. The hosts took control of the tempo early, moved the ball with purpose through midfield, and were rewarded with a lead that allowed them to dictate the shape of the game. Kepez Belediyespor, who came into the tie as underdogs, responded with energy rather than panic, twice dragging themselves back into the contest and forcing the home side to keep their concentration deep into the second half.

The final scoreline of 4-2 tells the story of a match that was rarely comfortable for either defence. There were chances at both ends, spells of sustained pressure from each side, and a series of decisive moments in front of goal that ultimately separated the teams.

Key Moments

• Early breakthrough: Eskisehir Anadolu opened the scoring after a sustained spell of pressure, setting the tone for an open, attacking cup tie.
• Kepez response: The visitors answered with a goal of their own, showing the kind of resilience that made this a far tougher evening than the pre-match expectations suggested.
• Home surge: A burst of goals either side of the interval put Eskisehir Anadolu firmly in command and forced Kepez Belediyespor to chase the game.
• Late drama: A second goal for the visitors kept the tie alive in the closing stages and required a fourth home goal to settle matters.

Tactical Story

Eskisehir Anadolu's approach was built on quick vertical passing and getting numbers into the final third. Their midfielders pushed high to support the attack, and the wide areas were used aggressively, with deliveries into the box causing persistent problems for the Kepez Belediyespor back line. The trade-off was visible in the goals conceded: committing bodies forward left gaps that the visitors exploited on the counter.

Kepez Belediyespor played with commendable ambition for an away side in a knockout fixture. Rather than sitting deep and defending the tie, they pressed in spells and looked to attack quickly when they won the ball. That bravery earned them two goals but also opened space for Eskisehir Anadolu's attacking players, who were clinical when the chances arrived.

Standout Performers

Eskisehir Anadolu's forward line was the difference on the night, with the attackers linking well and converting the key opportunities. The midfield also deserves credit for maintaining the tempo of the game, repeatedly winning the ball high up the pitch and turning possession into shots. Defensively there were lessons to take, but the character shown in seeing out the contest after conceding twice will please the coaching staff.

For Kepez Belediyespor, the goalscorers and the wide players who provided service were the standout performers. Their goalkeeper was busy throughout and made several important saves to keep the scoreline within reach until the closing stages.

What It Means

The win sends Eskisehir Anadolu through in the TUR Kupası, where the margin for error narrows with every round. A four-goal performance is a strong statement of attacking intent, and the challenge now is to carry that cutting edge into the next tie while tightening up at the back. For Kepez Belediyespor, the exit will sting, but their two goals in a difficult away cup fixture underline their willingness to compete against higher-ranked opposition.
