Bodrum FK delivered a statement away performance in the Turkish First League on 13 October 2026, dismantling Sariyer 4-1 at the Yusuf Ziya Öniş Stadium. The visitors controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, punished defensive errors with ruthless efficiency, and climbed into a more comfortable position in the standings with a result that underlined their promotion credentials.

Match Overview

Sariyer came into the fixture hoping to use home advantage to stabilise their campaign, but they were overwhelmed by Bodrum FK’s aggressive pressing and quick transitions. The away side scored twice inside the first 35 minutes and never looked back, even after Sariyer briefly halved the deficit early in the second half. Bodrum FK responded almost immediately and then added a fourth goal in stoppage time to complete a dominant scoreline.

• 12th minute – Bodrum FK 1-0: A high turnover in midfield released the right winger, whose low cross was converted from close range.
• 34th minute – Bodrum FK 2-0: A clever short-corner routine ended with a powerful header into the bottom corner.

Tactical Story

Bodrum FK lined up in a fluid 4-2-3-1 that became a 4-4-2 out of possession, with the front two cutting off Sariyer’s central passing lanes. That pressure forced the hosts into long balls, which Bodrum’s centre-backs dealt with comfortably. Sariyer’s midfield struggled to track runners between the lines, and the away side repeatedly found space in the half-spaces. When Sariyer did score, it came from a rare moment of sustained pressure, but Bodrum FK’s response was immediate and professional.

Standout Players

Bodrum FK’s attacking midfielder was the game’s outstanding performer, scoring once and providing two assists. His movement between Sariyer’s midfield and defence created constant uncertainty. The centre-forward also impressed with a goal and an assist, while the goalkeeper made two important saves at 2-0 to preserve the lead. For Sariyer, the captain and central defender worked hard but were often exposed by the team’s lack of midfield protection.

Season Impact

The three points lift Bodrum FK into a stronger position in the Turkish First League standings, keeping them firmly in the race for promotion to the Süper Lig. For Sariyer, the defeat is a setback in their fight to avoid dropping into the relegation zone. The result also improves Bodrum FK’s away record and goal difference, two factors that could prove decisive in a tightly packed table. Sariyer will need to address their defensive transitions quickly, as they face another demanding fixture next week.
