CS Hammam-Lif and Jeunesse Sportive Omrane played out a 1-1 draw in the Tunisian Professional League 1 on October 18, 2026, with both sides taking a share of the points after a competitive contest. CS Hammam-Lif held the lead for much of the match, but Omrane responded in the second half to earn a deserved equalizer.

Match overview

The home side started brightly and controlled possession in the opening half-hour. Their pressure paid off in the 34th minute when Wael Ben Amor found space just inside the penalty area and guided a low shot past the goalkeeper. Hammam-Lif continued to look the more dangerous team before the break, but they could not add a second goal despite creating several promising openings.

Jeunesse Sportive Omrane improved significantly after halftime, pushing more players forward and forcing Hammam-Lif deeper. The equalizer arrived in the 72nd minute when Youssef Dridi reacted quickest to a loose ball following a corner and stabbed it home from close range. Both teams had chances to win it in the final stages, but neither could find a decisive goal.

Key moments

• 34' — Wael Ben Amor gives CS Hammam-Lif the lead with a well-placed finish.
• 58' — Omrane goalkeeper denies Hammam-Lif a second goal with a strong save.
• 72' — Youssef Dridi equalizes for Jeunesse Sportive Omrane after a corner.
• 89' — Both sides waste late opportunities to snatch the winner.

Tactical story

CS Hammam-Lif’s first-half approach was built on patient possession and quick switches of play, which stretched Omrane’s defensive lines. However, the hosts struggled to maintain that intensity after the interval and allowed their opponents to gain a foothold in midfield. Omrane’s decision to press higher and commit more bodies forward changed the flow of the game.

The away side’s set-piece threat proved decisive, with the equalizer coming from a corner that Hammam-Lif failed to clear convincingly. In the closing minutes, both teams traded counter-attacks, but tired legs and some resolute defending kept the score level.

Standout players

Wael Ben Amor was lively for CS Hammam-Lif and took his goal well, while Youssef Dridi’s persistence earned Omrane a point. The Omrane goalkeeper also deserves credit for a crucial second-half save that kept the deficit at one goal before the equalizer arrived.

Season impact

The draw adds a point to both teams’ totals in the Tunisian Professional League 1 table, but it leaves each side with a sense of what might have been. Hammam-Lif will rue their failure to build on a strong first half, while Omrane can take confidence from their second-half response. Both clubs will now turn their attention to the next fixture as they look to find greater consistency.
