Tactical story

Paraná Clube Youth’s shape allowed them to dominate midfield and sustain attacks. Their full-backs pushed high, creating overloads on the wings, while the central midfielders controlled the rhythm and recycled possession efficiently. The front three rotated constantly, making it difficult for Capão Raso’s defenders to track runners.

Capão Raso’s difficulties stemmed from their inability to keep the ball under pressure. When they did win possession, their clearances were often intercepted, allowing Paraná to launch immediate counter-attacks. The visitors defended with effort, but the sheer volume of chances eventually told.

Standout performers

Paraná’s attacking unit was the story of the match. The wide players were direct and creative, the striker linked play well and the midfield runners arrived late in the box to score crucial goals. The goalkeeper also deserve credit for a clean sheet, making a smart save at 2-0 to preserve the home side’s momentum.

For Capão Raso, the goalkeeper made several saves to prevent an even heavier defeat. The captain in midfield tried to organise the team and keep possession, but the visitors were overrun for long spells.

What it means

The 5-0 victory is a significant statement for Paraná Clube Youth in the Taça FPF. It boosts their goal difference and gives them momentum heading into their next fixture. The performance also underlined their attacking potential and the importance of their midfield control.

Capão Raso PR U20 will need to regroup quickly. Conceding five goals is a setback, but the experience can serve as a learning moment for a young side. Their next match will be about restoring defensive solidity and finding a way to compete in midfield for longer periods.
