Landskrona BoIS produced a patient second-half response to defeat Örebro SK 2-1 in the Sweden Superettan on 3 November 2026, strengthening their push for a top-three finish while leaving the visitors to rue a missed opportunity in the race for the promotion places.

Match overview

Played at Landskrona IP, the contest had the feel of a late-season fixture with real consequences. Örebro SK started compactly, looking to frustrate the home side and strike through quick transitions, while Landskrona BoIS gradually settled into a rhythm of sustained possession and wide attacking pressure. The visitors drew first blood, but Landskrona’s response — a equaliser before half-time and a decisive second-half winner — underlined the home side’s growing resilience in the Superettan campaign.

The match was not one-sided. Örebro created enough moments on the break to suggest they could take something from the game, especially in the closing stages, but Landskrona defended their penalty area with discipline and managed the final minutes professionally.

Key moments

• 17th minute: Örebro SK took the lead through Marcus Karlsson, who finished low after a turnover in midfield caught Landskrona pushing forward.
• 39th minute: Landskrona BoIS equalised when Emil Lindman met a corner with a firm header, giving the home crowd the lift they needed before the interval.
• 63rd minute: Örebro’s goalkeeper produced a strong save to deny a close-range effort, keeping the visitors level at a crucial stage.
• 74th minute: Substitute Viktor Svensson scored the winner, arriving late in the box to convert a cut-back after a patient Landskrona move down the right.
• 88th minute: Örebro pushed bodies forward in search of an equaliser, but a series of crosses were cleared as Landskrona protected their advantage.

Tactical story

Landskrona BoIS lined up with intent, using their full-backs high and looking to stretch Örebro’s defensive block. In the first half, that approach left space behind for Örebro’s counter-attacks, and the visitors punished one such moment with the opening goal. The home side’s midfield trio gradually adjusted, winning more second balls and preventing Örebro from launching quick breaks through the centre.

After the break, Landskrona increased the tempo and diversified their attack. Rather than forcing passes through a crowded middle, they worked the ball wide and delivered early crosses into the box. The winning goal came from exactly that pattern: a wide overload, a composed cut-back, and a late run from midfield. Örebro, forced to chase the game, became more open and could not find a clean equalising chance despite late pressure.

Standout players

Emil Lindman was central to Landskrona’s comeback, not only for his equalising header but for his control of the midfield tempo. Viktor Svensson made the difference from the bench, adding energy and attacking depth before scoring the winner. For Örebro SK, Marcus Karlsson was their most dangerous outlet, taking his goal well and working hard in transition, while their goalkeeper kept the scoreline tight with several important saves.

What the result means

The three points lift Landskrona BoIS into the Superettan promotion-playoff conversation and keep automatic promotion within reach as the season enters its decisive phase. For Örebro SK, the defeat leaves them needing a strong response in their next fixture to stay in touch with the teams above them. With the Superettan table tightening, this was the kind of hard-earned home win that can carry real weight in the final standings.
