Husqvarna Women and Jitex DFF Women played out a 0-0 draw in the Sweden Elitettan on 24 October 2026, a match that lacked goals but not effort. Both sides had spells of control, and both defences held firm in the key moments, leaving the teams to share the points.

Match overview

Husqvarna Women saw more of the ball for long periods, building patiently from the back and trying to find space in the wide areas. Jitex DFF Women were content to defend in a compact shape and look for chances on the counter, and that approach nearly paid off in the first half when a quick break ended with a shot from outside the box.

The second half opened up slightly as both teams pushed for a winner. Husqvarna created the better chances, including a header that was saved well by the Jitex goalkeeper, while Jitex had a goal ruled out for offside. In the end, neither side could find the decisive moment.

Key moments

• First half: Husqvarna dominate possession but are met by a well-organised Jitex defensive block.
• 34th minute: Jitex break quickly and force a save from the Husqvarna goalkeeper.
• 52nd minute: Husqvarna head a corner narrowly over the bar.
• 68th minute: Jitex have the ball in the net, but the offside flag cuts the celebration short.
• 84th minute: A late Husqvarna shot is tipped around the post by the Jitex goalkeeper.

Tactical story

Husqvarna’s plan was clear: control the ball, use width and try to pull Jitex out of their defensive shape. They succeeded in the first part but struggled to create clear-cut chances against a back line that stayed disciplined and defended the box well. Jitex’s midfield worked hard to close the central spaces, forcing Husqvarna into crosses that were often dealt with comfortably.

Jitex’s counter-attacking threat kept the match balanced. Their forwards made intelligent runs into the channels, and their best chances came when they won the ball in midfield and moved it forward quickly. The draw was a fair reflection of a game in which both defences outperformed the attacks.

Standout performers

Both goalkeepers deserve credit for the clean sheets. Husqvarna’s goalkeeper was alert to Jitex’s counter-attacks, while the Jitex goalkeeper made two important second-half saves. The centre-backs on both sides were also influential, winning aerial duels and clearing danger under pressure. In midfield, Husqvarna’s captain kept the team moving forward, but Jitex’s defensive discipline ultimately earned them a solid away point.

What the result means

The point keeps both sides moving in the Sweden Elitettan, though it may feel more satisfying for Jitex DFF Women after a disciplined away display. Husqvarna Women will rue their lack of a finishing touch but can take encouragement from another clean sheet. Both teams remain focused on consistency as the season progresses.
