Örebro Södra Women edged BK Häcken B Women 3-2 in a thrilling Sweden Elitettan encounter on 3 October 2026, claiming all three points after a topsy-turvy contest at Gothia Park. The visitors twice surrendered the lead before striking late to secure a victory that could prove valuable in the race for a top-half finish.

Match Overview

The game began at a frantic pace, with both sides eager to assert themselves in midfield. Örebro Södra looked the more composed early on, stringing together passes and probing the flanks, while Häcken B relied on quick transitions and the energy of their young forwards. The opening goal arrived inside the first quarter of an hour, setting the tone for an end-to-end affair.

Häcken B responded well to going behind, equalising before the half-hour mark and then taking a shock lead shortly after the interval. But Örebro Södra’s experience told in the final 20 minutes, as they clawed their way back level and then found a late winner to break home hearts.

Key Moments

• 12th minute: Örebro Södra take the lead through a clinical low finish from Emma Lundqvist after a swift counter-attack.
• 28th minute: Häcken B level when Filippa Andersson curls a shot into the far corner from the edge of the box.
• 54th minute: The home side turn the game on its head as Hanna Berglund pounces on a loose ball and slots home.
• 71st minute: Örebro equalise from a corner, with Matilda Sjögren rising highest to head in.
• 88th minute: Substitute Ida Karlsson scores the winner, racing onto a through ball and finishing calmly past the goalkeeper.

Tactical Story

Häcken B set up in a 4-3-3, looking to use their pace in wide areas, but they struggled to control the midfield for long spells. Örebro Södra’s 4-2-3-1 allowed them to press higher up the pitch and force turnovers, which led to several dangerous attacking situations. The visitors’ decision to bring on fresh legs in the second half proved decisive, as they exploited gaps left by an increasingly stretched Häcken B defence.

Standout Players

Emma Lundqvist was a constant menace for Örebro Södra, not only scoring the opener but also linking play intelligently. Matilda Sjögren’s aerial presence and Ida Karlsson’s composed finish off the bench were equally important. For Häcken B, Filippa Andersson impressed with her dribbling and goal, while goalkeeper Elin Dahl kept the score respectable with two fine second-half saves.

Season Impact

The win lifts Örebro Södra into a more comfortable mid-table position and extends their unbeaten run to four matches. For Häcken B, the defeat is a setback in their development campaign, though the performance of their young squad offered plenty of encouragement. Both teams will now look ahead to their next Elitettan fixtures with renewed focus.
