Gamla Upsala SK Women produced a dominant 3-0 home win over Hacken B Women in Sweden Elitettan, controlling the match from start to finish.

The hosts were sharper in possession, more aggressive without the ball and far more dangerous in the final third. Three goals underlined their superiority, while a clean sheet capped a professional performance that never allowed Hacken B Women to settle.

Match overview

Gamla Upsala set the tone early, pressing high and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. They moved the ball quickly, created space in wide positions and repeatedly got into the penalty area. Hacken B Women defended with effort, but they were under pressure for long stretches and struggled to keep possession when they won it back.

The home side’s control was reflected in the scoreline. They scored in the first half, added to their lead before the break and then completed the scoring in the second half. From that point, the focus shifted to game management and preserving the clean sheet.

Key moments

• Gamla Upsala opened the scoring after a period of sustained pressure, finishing calmly from inside the box.
• A second goal before half-time gave the hosts a comfortable cushion and forced Hacken B Women to chase the game.
• The third goal arrived in the second half, rewarding another well-constructed attacking move.
• Gamla Upsala’s defence remained alert late on to secure the shutout.

Tactical story

Gamla Upsala’s pressing was the foundation of the win. They closed down quickly, won second balls and prevented Hacken B Women from building rhythm. In possession, the hosts used width well and attacked with numbers, making it difficult for the visitors to defend the space around the penalty area.

Hacken B Women showed brief signs of life on the counter, but their attacks lacked support and were too easily snuffed out. The home midfield controlled the middle of the pitch, ensuring the game was played mostly in Hacken’s half.

Standout performers

Gamla Upsala’s attacking unit deserves praise for the movement and finishing that produced the three goals. The midfield was equally important, setting the tempo and winning possession. At the back, the home side was composed and concentrated, giving Hacken B Women very little to work with.

Season impact

The three points strengthen Gamla Upsala SK Women’s position in Sweden Elitettan and provide a welcome boost in the closing weeks of the season. For Hacken B Women, the defeat is a tough lesson, but there were enough moments of effort to suggest they can respond. Gamla Upsala will look to carry this level of control into their next fixture.
