Qviding FIF claimed a 2-1 away victory over Onsala BK in Sweden Division 2 on Sunday, 27 September 2026, coming from behind to snatch all three points with a late winner. The match, played under the lights at Onsala’s home ground, was a story of two different halves: Onsala’s bright start gave way to Qviding’s growing control, and the visitors made their pressure count when it mattered most.

Match Overview

Onsala BK began with energy and intent, pressing high and forcing Qviding FIF into a series of early clearances. Their reward came midway through the first half when they took the lead, and for a period they looked comfortable. But Qviding gradually settled, found their rhythm in midfield and began to ask questions of the Onsala defence with quick combinations and well-timed runs.

By the final 20 minutes, the momentum had shifted decisively. Qviding equalised after the break and then found a late goal to complete the turnaround, leaving Onsala to rue missed chances and a defensive lapse at the worst possible moment.

Key Moments

• 22nd minute – Onsala BK 1-0: Felix Johansson gave the hosts the lead with a sharp turn and finish after a neat exchange on the edge of the box.
• 54th minute – Onsala BK 1-1: Qviding FIF levelled through Joel Andersson, who drilled a low shot into the bottom corner from just outside the area.
• 81st minute – Onsala BK 1-2: Simon Larsson grabbed the winner, arriving at the back post to convert a deep cross and silence the home crowd.

Tactical Story

Onsala’s early approach was direct and aggressive, with their wingers looking to isolate full-backs and deliver early crosses. It worked for a while, but as the game wore on, Qviding’s midfield trio began to win the second balls and dictate the tempo. The visitors switched play effectively, forcing Onsala to defend side-to-side and creating gaps between the lines.

Qviding’s winning goal encapsulated their improved second-half performance: patient build-up, a switch of play and a late run into the box that Onsala failed to track. It was a deserved reward for a team that grew into the contest and finished the stronger.

Standout Players

Joel Andersson was central to Qviding FIF’s comeback, not only for his equalising goal but for his relentless work rate in midfield. Simon Larsson’s late winner was the product of intelligent movement, and the goalkeeper made a crucial save at 1-1 to keep the visitors level. For Onsala, Felix Johansson took his goal well and was a threat throughout the first half, while their centre-back pair dealt with a lot of pressure before the late breakthrough.

Season Impact

The three points lift Qviding FIF’s confidence and strengthen their position in the Sweden Division 2 table, especially with an away win against a direct rival. Onsala BK will be frustrated to have taken the lead and lost, but the performance offered enough positives to suggest they can bounce back quickly. In a division known for tight margins, Qviding’s late winner could be remembered as a pivotal moment in their season.
