Enköping claimed a hard-fought 1-0 away win over Hammarby TFF in the Sweden Division 1 on 11 October 2026. A single second-half goal was enough to decide a match where the young Hammarby side dominated possession but lacked a cutting edge.

Match Overview

Hammarby TFF, the development team of Hammarby IF, started brightly and controlled the opening exchanges with neat passing and sustained pressure. However, they struggled to create clear chances against a disciplined Enköping defence. The visitors sat deep and looked to counter, and their patience paid off in the 55th minute. A quick break down the right ended with a low cross that was converted at the near post. Hammarby pushed hard for an equaliser, throwing numbers forward, but Enköping's goalkeeper produced a string of saves to deny them. The closest Hammarby came was a header that clipped the outside of the post in the 82nd minute.

Key Moments

• 22' — Hammarby TFF's first real chance is saved comfortably.
• 55' — Enköping score the winning goal from a fast counter-attack.
• 74' — Enköping's goalkeeper makes a superb double save.
• 82' — Hammarby hit the post with a header as they chase an equaliser.

Tactical Story

Hammarby TFF's possession-based approach was easy on the eye but ultimately ineffective. They had over 60% of the ball but managed only three shots on target. Enköping's defensive block was well-organised, with their midfield dropping deep to deny space between the lines. When they won the ball, they attacked with speed and precision. The winning goal was a textbook counter-attack: a turnover in midfield, a direct run, and a composed finish. It was a lesson in efficiency for the young Hammarby side.

Standout Players

Enköping's goalkeeper was the man of the match, making several crucial saves to keep a clean sheet. Their right-back also impressed with his forward runs and the assist for the goal. For Hammarby TFF, the central midfielder showed maturity beyond his years, dictating play, but the forwards were unable to convert the team's dominance into goals.

Table Impact

The three points lift Enköping into a safer position in the Sweden Division 1 standings, easing any lingering relegation concerns. Hammarby TFF remain in the lower half of the table, but as a development side, their focus remains on player progression rather than points. Nevertheless, this defeat highlights the challenge of converting possession into results at senior level. Enköping will take confidence from a resilient away performance, while Hammarby will look to sharpen their finishing in the coming weeks.
