Fittja IF delivered a dominant home performance in Sweden Division 2 on 18 October 2026, defeating Nykopings BIS 4-1 with a display full of pace, pressing and clinical finishing. At Fittja IP, the home side seized control early and never let Nykopings BIS settle into the match.

Match overview

Fittja IF started with purpose, pressing Nykopings BIS high and forcing turnovers in dangerous areas. The early goals gave the home side a comfortable platform, and they continued to create chances through wide attacks and quick combinations around the box. Nykopings BIS improved after their consolation goal and had a few moments of pressure, but Fittja managed the game well and restored their authority with a late fourth.

Key moments

• 11th minute: Fittja IF opened the scoring when Robin Ahmadi cut inside from the left and curled a shot into the far corner.
• 29th minute: Dennis Özdemir doubled the lead with a close-range finish after a scramble in the box.
• 44th minute: Ahmadi scored his second, finishing a fast counter-attack with a calm low strike.
• 61st minute: Nykopings BIS pulled one back through Pontus Lind, who headed in from a corner.
• 83rd minute: Sami Hussein completed the scoring with a well-placed effort from the edge of the area.

Tactical story

Fittja IF’s high press set the tone. They closed down Nykopings BIS’s midfielders quickly, forced long passes and then attacked the second balls with numbers. The wide players were especially influential, stretching the defence and creating space for runners into the box. Nykopings BIS tried to respond by playing more directly after the break, and their set-piece goal gave them brief hope, but Fittja’s control in midfield and superior intensity made the result safe.

Standout performers

Robin Ahmadi was the standout performer for Fittja IF, scoring twice and causing problems throughout with his direct running. Dennis Özdemir and Sami Hussein both took their goals well, while the midfield trio worked tirelessly to win possession and keep the tempo high. Pontus Lind’s header was the highlight for Nykopings BIS on an otherwise difficult afternoon.

Season impact

The victory strengthens Fittja IF’s position in the Sweden Division 2 table and adds valuable goal difference to their tally. A 4-1 home win is the kind of result that builds belief and puts pressure on the teams around them. Nykopings BIS will need to improve their defensive organisation and handling of pressure, but their second-half response at least showed some fighting spirit.
